Amazing and fantastic tour

I really enjoyed and had a great experience on this tour. The tour guide, Eugene, was excellent, friendly, helpful, very informative and extremely knowledgeable. The transport was very comfortable. I would highly recommended this tour. Excellent tour!

Great Experience!

Working with Eugene at Sligo Tours was absolute pleasure from start to finish! He was very responsive to my many questions as we were planning our trip and really accomodated all of our requests. Having a local driver to tour the many sites in the area was fantastic! We took four separate day trips and each one was an awesome experience. Of course it was so relaxing not to have to worry about driving / directions and just sit back and enjoy the beautiful countryside....but having a kind, patient, friendly, knowledgable guide made our experience all the better. I would highly recommend the services of Sligo Tours!!

We had a grand time!

We had the pleasure of booking two one-day tours with Sligo Tours. Eugene was our driver for both and he was just wonderful! He picked us up at our hotel at the time we wanted and then drove us around the Sligo area stopping at the castles, abbeys, Neolithic ruins, and sites of natural beauty. Unlike a big bus tour, we were able to experience everything at our own pace never feeling rushed. He has tremendous knowledge of the area and navigates those narrow Irish roads like a pro. We would highly recommend Sligo Tours to anyone visiting the Sligo area.

Fantastic tour

We had the best day with Eugene and Sligo Tours. He was prompt for pick up, patiently waited for all 6 of us to be ready (ages range from 2 -76), and really met us where we were (and wanted to be) with planning the day. He’s very flexible. The tours on the website are more general recommendations / common tours.

It poured buckets of rain most of the day - and we still had a great time. I appreciated his deep knowledge of the area, and that he is innately knows when to strike up conversation or not. We did the Slieve League tour. (And, because we were with Sligo Tours we were able to drive right to the top of the cliffs. Zero chance we would have made it to the top without this benefit.) we viewed the cliffs, went to lunch nearby at a delicious pub (best seafood chowder), and slowly made our way back to Sligo, stopping at sites and cute towns on the way. His van was clean and comfortable, with the added bonus of our car seats easily fitting for the little kids. Price was fair for what we received. So memorable! Would genuinely love to hire again. Thank you!

Wonderful guide with a big heart

Eugene was the best driver and companion we could have hoped for on our trip around Derry and Sligo. While other guides might know about and efficiently cover the main points of interest, Eugene is set apart by his huge heart. What a caring man he is. He shares his love of the area where he actually lives in a way not possible for a guide from elsewhere. He was in awe of the incredible beauty of the land right along with us. He also gave us great suggestions for trad pubs and connected us with a fabulous wood carver in Sligo, who regaled us with Irish lore, in Irish, and made us a carved piece to take home. We were sad to say goodbye to Eugene, for all he'd added to our experience. We cannot recommend him enough as the person to have with you for your Ireland tour!

Amazing Tour of Sligo

Eugene gave us an amazing tour of Sligo and also took us specifically to the farm where my father grew up. He did some research on his own time to find out if we still had family in the area. He went above & beyond what we asked of him. He was full of great stories which made the time driving to destinations enjoyable. If I go back, I would absolutely hire him again.

Beautiful day exploring around Sligo

We spent a delightful day with Eugene on the Yeats Benbulben tour. Eugene had a great itinerary planned and at the same time he was very flexible about how long we stayed at each stop. This is a really beautiful area and we feel so very fortunate to have had Eugene as our driver and guide.

Sligo the hidden gem of Ireland

Eugene offered us customised tour package of Sligo at very affordable price.He was fantastic as tour guide.We visited Benbulben,Mullaghmore,Streedagh beach,Glencare waterfall,W B yeats graveyard.Next day visited beautiful strandhill beach.He is highly recommended as local taxi tour guide.
