Love the castle here in Easkey, and the flag that the LEAP project put up is really lovely.. Hopefully we can do more about preserving the castle.

Old shell of a house castle/watch tower literally right on the waterline! The public restrooms are a disaster! Filthy is too nice of a word to even describe the terrible conditions in them! Lets say you will probably skip using them!

The castle was built in 1207 by the O'Dowd family in 1477. They lived in the castle until the castle was overrun during the Cromwellian conquest of Ireland 1642. It is a crazy large rock on the side of the road. It was left by the glaciers. Somehow, it has broken in two. Kind of cool.
