I love visiting sites/ places that aren't overcrowded and authentic. I usually feel let down when I find out something has been rebuilt or restored. The history behind this site is interesting , to say the least. A must visit.

This is another passage tomb site that cannot be missed. It is uncrowded. The ruins are truly magnificent. I enjoy imagining how ancient people came up with the design and implemented the construction.

What a delight! I had so hoped to see some of these ancient sites on our trip and this one just unassumingly appeared. Beautifully preserved and peaceful. There is an information plaque that explains some of the history of the place. Definitely worth the stop....More

Worth the stop to see some very old structures dating back many thousands of years. There is a still visible burial chamber and other stones resembling a small stonehenge type arrangement.

A great stop to see a piece of pre-Celtic archaeology. This was part of the tour we had with Sligo tours.

A Neolithic court tomb, it's very impressive and easy to get to. It has a small car park on the main road near Mullaghmore. Well worth a visit.

I never had an idea about court tombs until I saw this! Gained a better understanding of Irish history after seeing this. Heard a lot of explanations from out tour guide. Great background for an Instagram photo!

Depends what you are into but take a minute if passing this area and see something that has parts constructed as early as 2500BC which certainly makes you think.

Have a look at the photographs, the tombs are open, not underground, you walk among the large stones.
