Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A '' Nobel'' piece of sculpture outside the Ulster Bank opposite the Garravogue River commemorates W B Yeats.

The statue is an interesting interpretation with the cape and the words. It looks a bit odd until you realise what it is.

While on a vegan food tour, we stopped for some syllabub at this monument to Yeats. Thankfully it didn't rain!

This sculpture is supposed to be a representation of the enormous genius that our beloved poet, playwright and statesman WB Yeats was. This lame statue shows an effete, camp, self-important day-dreamer. That is not who Yeats was, and to show him in this light betrays overwhelming ignorance of who the man was. Can we please replace it with something that is a true reflection of his enormous genius.

Lovely statue just by the water opposite the Yeats Memorial House.
It depicts Yeats in a typical jaunty pose on a small plinth with lines of his work carved onto his body and apparel from top to toe.
I really liked it and it's well worth a photo stop.

The W B Yeats memorial building was operating reduced hours due to covid-19 and I didn’t have time to visit there but I walked past this statue. Bit disappointed not to be able to visit the Yeats memorial building but will read up on him a little instead.

This pavement city center homage to Yeats can hardly be missed.
Only a statue hunter could love this, and not his Mother!

It was interesting to see his statue as we had just visited his grave and heard the history involving him and the local area.
