Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you want to eat in a comfortable, atmospheric, traditional and busy Boutique style Cafe ( being busy tells you all you really need to know) then look no further than The Henry Lyons Cafe Restaurant on the first floor of the department store of the same name in the centre of Sligo . There are many good places to eat in sligo and I have tried a lot of them but if I had to choose the this is the place.
The food is all freshly made on the premises and all the dishes look appetising and tasty but the reason I go there is to enjoy the best hot sandwiches you will find outside Dublin . Freshly prepared and brought to your table it is a feast for the eyes and a treat for your palate . The pulled pork with sticky Oriental sauce is the best I have had outside of Louisiana USA and the Lebanese chicken with fresh garlic mayo
is not far behind.
In a nut shell lift your eyes up from street level and make the journey upstairs for food
you will make a journey back to Sligo for especially the sandwich selection, it was so good my wife asked to speak to the chef who visited our table to tell us just what effort goes into the food available in this tucked away gem of an eatery.
Many thanks and will will definitely be back.

We had our afternoon drinks here. Had to wait ages for service as only one member of staff at the counter. All perfectly ok if slow. Cakes looked appealing but managed to avoid them. That took will power!!!!
