We were passing and decided to drop in for a look, not expecting much but were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this place was. The paths were well maintained and the sculptures were great. We hired two bikes and a trailer for our daughter. The bikes were in an unfit state to ride unfortunately but the fellas working in the... More

Peaceful walks with a variety of we'll sign posted tracks to take, ranging in different lengths. Nice to read up on the local history of the place with nice attractions to look at and learn from on route. I liked the variety of old bog trains on display, the Mesolithic route and The Offaly way. Lough Boora is a great... More

Dont know why I didnt go here sooner. Everything about the place is great. Loads of signage to help you find the park to begin with. Nice entrance, great maps, helpful staff. More than anything we walked for HOURS and saw loads of wildlife and flower, plants, mushrooms. Lots for kids here. Would bring a bike or rent one the... More

Lough Boora is a fantastic resource and a fine example of corporate responsibility. Bord na Móna are to be highly commended for their investment in this amenity. It is an unusual landscape and somewhat spiritual in nature. Entry is free unless you are parking at the Visitor Centre. Bicycles are available for hire and there is a cafe for refreshments.... Took myself and 3 daughters here for the afternoon, parked and hired bikes. In fairness you cannot complain about 3e for child and 5 for adult for afternoon, they say an hour but we were gone for 3 for the same price. Lovely bunch at bike hire. We did the 9km Mesolithic route and enjoyed it all, stopped lots and... More

€2 for parking and that's it! Hire a bike at extra cost but where else can you pass hours of time at this price. We did the yellow route and despite the bad weather we really enjoyed the art. The fairy attraction was excellent. Cafe food is excellent quality and capaccunio is very good. Gray for dogs as well!
