We are based in the heart of Glaslough Village where Castle Leslie is situated . We provide pottery tuition for every age and ability . We can teach very large groups in our new premises and also small groups and individuals. Our speciality is the Potter's wheel experience where you can design your very own pot which will be glazed for you in our kiln .We post these out to wherever you are . Pre- booking is advised especially for larger groups though" Pop-in's "are also welcome .We also have our own range of ceramics for sale which is also dishwasher safe some of which is used in Snaffles Restaurant in Castle Leslie and also in the Courthouse Restaurant in Carrickmacross .

Amazing experience !
Aug 2021 • Family
We visited busy bee ceramics as a little treat for my mum’s 50th birthday. It’s safe to say the experience was everything we hoped for and more ! We were guided through the process of forming our own mugs, bowls and basically whatever we wanted to created .... Such friendly staff who were so patient and down to earth ! They were great with the youngest (12 years) to the oldest member of our group. I am so excited to return in the future - couldn’t recommend this more to anyone considering a pottery experience. Also this little studio is set in a gorgeous little village !

Bucket List Activity - Fantastic!
Jul 2021 • Couples
This is such a lovely way to pass an hour or two with a partner or friend. We had the place to ourselves and it was fabulous. We were taken through a demonstration with the clay and boards and then left to it, I asked for help as I wanted the perfect mug haha and it came out so well. You have the option to paint the clay but we left ours au natural, our final products will be shipped out to us in a few weeks. 35 euros each (plus 5euro pp post to north Ireland) and you can make a pot or a mug (they do the handle for you). Overall I highly recommend this unique and lovely experience!

We had a really enjoyable time in the pottery pour deux class with Brenda, she made it easy to get going on the wheel and gave great advice throughout the lesson, would definitely reccomend it as a unique day out!

Great fun at pottery for deux
Oct 2019
We had a great time at our pottery for deux booking with Brenda in October.

The instructions and attention from Brenda was perfect and we were given plenty of time to make our pots and bowls.

We had a relaxing and enjoyable time and would definitely recommend a visit and will go back.

Hen Party Disaster
May 2019 • Friends
Went to Busy Bee Ceramics back in May for my cousins Hen party. We were told we could paint what ever was sitting out or we could make our own on the wheel. We were so disappointed with the selection of pre made options, she told us she had limited stock, which were a couple of small animals for a child or a bowl!? And there were only 2 bowls. You would think for a hen party of 15 ladies that they would have been more prepared with other options. Not only that but we had our hen party in May, and didn’t get a call to say our pottery was ready until the end of August!! Despite calling numerous times with no answer. I had made the main part of a cup on the wheel and they were to make a handle and put it on. The cup handle is so think only one finger fits though and wasn’t even smoothed out at the edges. Random colours of paint are also over my cup with dents in it also. How can I drink from a cup that I can only hold with one finger? Haha Very disappointing overall and won’t be recommending it.

Bespoke birthday fun!
Sep 2019
My Mam, sister and I booked in for a pottery taster session with Brenda to mark a family birthday and we're so glad we did. We didn't really know what to expect but Brenda is so kind and open, and also encouraging that we were immediately both relaxed and excited! Her space is warm and welcoming (with lots of her own beautiful work on display, but not in a pushy way) and she clearly loves what she does, which is pretty contagious! We were all total novices but were delighted with the opportunity to use the wheel, and get an idea of the various techniques. We are also encouraged to decorate and paint our pots. Brenda was so generous with her time and talents - we'd certainly recommend a visit.

Great !
Aug 2019 • Family
We popped in as a family 4 ,and got to get a pottery lesson on the wheels and then decorate our pieces. It was our first time ever using a pottery wheel and loved every minute. Brenda was a great teacher and very patient. Highly recommend visiting .
