Oldbridge Battle of the Boyne site is in a beautiful situation with splendid grounds & a great amenity for families, walkers & strollers. The gardens are immaculately kept & a lot of work has been done on the planting in recent years. The parking is efficiently organised & access to the toilets is well planned. However this is all let... More

Great place to walk the dog or visit the centre. Great coffee in the restuarant and spot on for a quiet mid week lunch.

This is a lovely place to visit. There are lovely walks or you can just enjoy the gardens or coffee shop. The museum is nice and interesting and well laid out. There are picnic tables outside where the kids can play football nearby on the lovely kept lawns. A playground would make this place 100 percent but in any case... More

The grounds around the house make a perfect place for a picnic with plenty of space for kids to run and play. Inside the house itself you take a self guided tour through the history of the battle of the Boyne and those involved. In the second room there is a laser show which was a highlight for me as... For anyone interested in history this is well worth a look. The tea room is clean and the staff are friendly. It was not expensive for what we ordered at the food was tasty. Although the house itself had nothing to do with the famous battle it is built on the site of the village of Oldbridge and looks out... More

An excellent museum on site with a broad historic view. But the visitor will enjoy simply walking the battlefield grounds. The area is beautiful and the paths wind through a visual delight. Be sure to take your camera.

I was looking forward to seeing this attraction. The ground floor museum was very well laid out and gave a very good history of the battle. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. My only bit of disappointment was the fact that the 1st and 2nd floor were not open to the public. I loved the cafe, the walled gardens... More

This site and visitors centre provides historical information and artifacts relating to this important battle ground. In 1690, more than 60,000 soldiers took place in a critical battle that shaped the history of Ireland. Now, the visitor's centre provides an impressive set of displays that show what life was like at that time, and how the battle played out. Very... More
