Great place to go for a walk all year round. The gardens look fantastic in the summer and winter!! The coffee shop is great for lunch the food is of a very high standard. Watch out for the live plays on summer evenings which is a great night out !! I visit regularly with my dogs for a walk and... More

Despite the rain, this was an interesting visit. The gentleman on the desk was very helpful and was pleased to explain the history of the area. The displays were not exactly lifelike but the plan showing the progress of the battle was great.

Our tour guide Martin gave us a brief outline of the battlefield outside the Oldbridge Estate. It was very informative, as I had no idea of the significance or context of the battle. Suffice it to say King Louis, King William and King James were all major players in this world changing battle in Ireland with over 60,000 soldiers fighting!... More

I visited this centre with a community group ranging in age from 2 to 92 and everyone had a very good day. The weather was dry which helped make the day, it meant we could walk around the beautiful gardens and grounds at our leisure. Our tour guide was excellent and presented the information in a non bias way and... More

While the site itself is somewhat barren outside, being just a large field within the crook of a river, the displays were superb. As was the tour guide. I'm not sure I understand the causes for the war better, but the laser display showed how the Jacobites miscalculated the Williamites and lost the battle - and eventually the country. Especially... We came here on a visit this month (my 3rd visit) We had a BBQ with us and set it up on the lawn on blocks to keep it off the grass. We where minutes from having our food ready and causing no harm when security approached and said it had to be put out! There was absolutely no reasoning... More

Nice and well kept estate , nice walks and gardens, but maybe could add more plants and shrubs, as the sign boards say "Battle of the Boyne" I was expecting a lot more , maybe the road signs are a bit misleading or was I expecting to much ?

A great OPW site and a wonderful exhibition of the Battle of the Boyne, fought between King William and James and wonderfully brought to life by Lindsay. Audio Visual show of 7 mins very informative. Brambles Pavillion was clean and has a lovely garden view-such a pity it rained. A group of fourty-one of us 'landed' in the tea-room and... More

I'd like to have more about the battle. More video and interaction would be nice. I think the wall garden is grand but maybe a little on the history of horticulture. The walk is grand but maybe a few things about the battle on the site
