About
We are located just a few hundred meters from the Greenway in Westport town center among the best hotels in the area.
We provide an excellent bike hire service for the Great Western Greenway, Wild Atlantic Way and the surrounding area which has some of the best and most scenic cycling routes in Ireland.
FREE car parking and a shuttlebus facility for pick-ups and drop-offs are available! Helmets and other safety equipment are included in our bike hire together with a breakdown/replacement service.
We also have a large enclosed tarmac car park for you to try out your hire bikes for fitting before venturing out on your travels.
Besides bike hire we are also a fully equipped cycling repair and service shop, together with bike sales and spinning & training facilities. So basically the most fully kitted out cycling shop in the area.

Like other reviewers have said, this business is in the Paddock, the area behind the Castlecourt Hotel where I stayed. This convenient location, combined with the fact that I booked in advance made collection of my bike seamless. The Ridgeback hybrid was the perfect bike for the ride to Achill. While I had read a number of reviews that said the best direction to ride was from Achill back to Westport, I found the ride from east to west much quieter and noticed larger groups heading from Achill in the afternoon.
Declan arrived at Achill right on time and we had a great chat in the shuttle on the way back.

The service was excellent from Anthony and the team at Westport Bikes. We hired four bikes for our group and they dropped us at Achill Sound for us to cycle on the island and then cycle back to Westport.
The bikes are well serviced and lovely to ride. The scenery was fantastic and lovely stops on the way.

The person renting us the prepaid for bikes was quick and gave us helmust and a bunny card to hold our bags.
Bikes were in fine condition and our day rode went well because of this....I have had lesser experiences with other companies.
Highly recommend this bike hire (theres a few with similar names...make sure it's the one on paddock rd)

Anthony was so efficient and easy to work with. We rented 4 E Bikes to ride along the great western greenway. He had easy to follow directions to get onto the bike path and he allowed us flexibility in our pick up location and time. The bikes he rented were well maintained and a pleasure to use. I would highly recommend using Anthony’s shop for your bike rentals.

We rented e-bikes for the Westport to Achill greenway route based on a recommendation from friends and couldn’t be more satisfied. We received thorough instructions on our bikes, the route, our return via pickup, and safety - felt very informed. The trip was fantastic. Can’t recommend this shop more highly - they are terrific!!

This was a wonderful way to see the area! The ride to Achill was amazing, and renting the e-bikes made the length of the trip doable.
The bike shop staff were very accommodating when we needed to change the day of our reservation. After completing the trip, our ride back to Westport was filled with great information and conversation.
This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Ireland and we highly recommend it for anyone who wants to experience the beauty of the area.

Perfect for anyone looking to cycle the Greenway. Staff were extremely friendly, informative and flexible with collecting and dropping the bikes back so we didn’t feel under any time pressure. They really contributed to what was a lovely day. Highly recommend.

Westport bike shop provided us with bikes and all necessary equipment for our annual Westport to Achill Greenway Fundraiser Cycle for Focus Ireland. Both Anthony & Declan were very accommodating and tailored their service to meet our needs. They were professional and efficient in all communications and on the day they were ready and rearing to go when we arrived. Looking forward to working with the lads again in 2023
