Halloween Staycation

Jogged some of them greenway around Westport pushing my baby in buggy. Beautiful and very enjoyable. Beautiful Autumn colours and smells. Fabulous 🍃🍂🍁🌲🌳🌿

Just did it. Hired 2 bikes for €40 total this included a shuttle from achill back to newport it was perfect. It took us 3 hours leisurely cycle from newport to achill. Really glad we booked the shuttle back it would have ruined the day to think we had to cycle back and we were really glad we did not... More

Fantastically set up cycle route with lots of places to stop and take breaks. Would be manageable for most levels of fitness

Only one bad hill going from Newport to Mulranny. Stunning views from the top though. We had gorgeous sunshine all the way as well!

Great to walk with no traffic and be with nature. You could reach pier with no fuss and meet locals along the way.

Did a 50km round trip cycle starting at the Quay area in Westport. The route is pretty flat with a few small inclines on the way down to Newport. I found the section after this to Nevin's in Tiernaur a little more challenging. The thought of the stop in Nevin's as a break and a chance to get sone food... More

The Gr. Western Greenway is a must for all and sundry. For walking, cycling or just absorbing the natural rural atmosphere gladdens the heart. No holiday to Westport is complete without that leisurely stroll or cycle on this magnetic route. Memories are made of moments such as this.

Best in a car more accesable than a bus tour keem bay a must . Before visiting keem bay follow atlantic drive brown signs to go down narrow roads to what seems a dead end and see mountains at the great expanse of tranquill water .visit the new aquaruim in keel. Small but not expensive. Just started up and growing... More
