Great outdoor trail

Great to walk or cycle. No traffic, specifically for bikes or walkers. Portaloo's along the route. So lucky to have this facility near by.

Totally enjoyed this cycle... our daughter is 10 and pretty active. The wind was tough for the first part from Achill to Mulranny but it shelters in places after that. We stopped in Mulranny Park hotel for scones (13km into the cycle).. their scones are gorgeous and warm and very welcome! Staff so friendly. Then we stopped in Newport (another... More

guys from clew bay bike hire dropped us off at newport and we cycled to mullaranny over about 2 hours, had a relaxing lunch looking out on clew bay at the park hotel (cycle path leads directly into the hotel) and then back to be picked up at newport with some creamy pints had in matt molloys afterwards.....highly recommended

Did this with my 70 year old mother in November, Achill to Westport. Had a great day, incredible views. Chilly day would be better in summer when you could jump in for a swim or picnic as you go. Very flat, manageable for all cyclists.

Anytime great walk....but on a sunny day from Clue bay to Westport town takes some beating. Will go back often.

The greenway is quite in winter so if you get a good day be ready to go in the morning on the shuttle bus to Achill and cycle to Westport. This is a great way to see the West. The highlight is the view of clew bay from Mulranny.

Spent weekend in Westport and was fortunate that our accommodation was on the Greenway. Cycled from newport to Mulranny and back. Stopped in lovely cafe 'Yvonne's on the way and had homemade pancakes. Fabulous couple running it don't miss this spot as it gave us fuel to get back on our bikes with a smile and a farewell wave from... More

We hired electric bikes after a night of heavy drinking and it was the best day out in a long time. Full marks to the local council for this cycle way, it is spectacular and a must if you are visiting this area
