The grounds of Westport House are lovely and the playground was perfect for the younger children in our group. Teenagers were less enthusiastic and found most of the activites to be overpriced. It is a short walk into town so you're not limited to eating options onsite.

A once beautiful house on 400+ acres of land, now full of kitsch and disrepair. Needs experienced and qualified management. Worth a look but not with the entrance fee. Despite being peak season, the coffee shop was not open. The mind boggles. On sale, yours for ten million. That's about EUR22K an acre.

Mrs Claus was possibly the worst one I've ever seen. My daughter thought her reading was so bad and she didn't even read the story correctly. She was completely bored in the next area as well. After making the very small (my daughter's words) gingerbread man we were hanging around for ages to go to the next stage. Then Santa... More

Really interesting abd well maintained stately home. Beautiful ornate interior. I remember visiting as a 4 year old and being terrified if the dungeons. They're still imposing I have to say! The house and gardens are beautiful. Haven't a notion about a pirate park. Not. A. Clue. Loved the house though.

Kids enjoyed amusements at mid term break, but a tad expensive when buy tokens for 3 kids 😬 train ride ok and driver friendly, but a little bumpy with all those speed ramps 😳 Fabulous grounds and scenery. Would love to come back when outdoor / adventure activities are open.

This was the best visit to this type of attraction I have ever been on. It had a significant numbers of rooms, all fully furnished and with lots of information. I went with my elderly parents and loved the amount of seats throughout the 3 floors to sit and take a breath if needed. The vibe was so friendly from... More

The guided tour is a must as there is so much history to this delightful house, but be warned you could easily spend another couple of hours just browsing and reading the letters on display.

Seemed the pirate was forgotten, lots about the wonderful owners, or that the opinion they wanted to give. Could easily skip this one.

Caravan holiday for 3 nights - has lots for kids - The house itself albeit smaller than an average stately home, has a very interesting story - enjoyed it! small coffee shop - lovely grounds - plenty going on for fun day out...Pirate park is a little dated and not many rides but plenty for the younger kids (up to...
