While some of our group climbed Croagh Patrick, the others ventured around Clew Bay to look at other sites of significance including Killadangan – Stone Row. The stone row consists of four stones aligned NNE-SSW. The stones increase in height from the 0.45 metre high...More

I'm amazed that more people don't do this, it's so worthwhile. The trail consists of 21 archaeological and heritage sites within a few miles of Westport town. We covered most of the sites in two days, but need to plan a visit to Clare Island...More

An abandoned village with many stone remains. You can imagine what life must have been like then. Lots of walking.

What a little gem of a museum this is. We would not have known it existed had we not seen it featured on Mayo Matters. It is run by Westport Historical Society & is full to the brim of interesting memorabilia. Well worth a visit.
