It was a choice to only walk to the St. Patrick statue and not up the entire mountain. Having more time and the proper footwear might have changed my mind. Got some great photos and said a prayer to St. Patrick while I was there.

Nice hike, pretty exhausting mainly because of the terrain. Lot of people on the way and on the top. Nice view in the direction of the Achill Island. Worth hiking if you have plenty of time but there are definitely nicer hikes.

We climbed reek Sunday at 6am was a lovely day, with Sunday coming through the clouds with a light fresh breeze. The top cleared for a few min while we were up there. We were up and down in 2hours, so down for breakfast.

Bit of a difficult hike if you aren't much of a hiker. Be prepared in clothing choice and footwear. The views are well worth the soreness the next day!

What a view From this famous mountain. The trek up has gotten very difficult but worth the effort for the pictures.
