Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I recently visited and stayed overnight in Drogheda. I found the town to be really lovely and the people so helpful and friendly. It has a lot to offer - the two places we ate in were top notch - Simona Cafe and Ariosa Cafe and the hotel (Westcourt Hotel) was lovely. I was standing in the street and a local came over to chat - something you don’t experience every day and it was great. Don’t hesitate to visit Drogheda - it’s a great spot.

God be with the days when you could go and you had a great choice of stalls and a good variety to pick from but not anymore the number of people going to the market has dramatically dropped its sad to see but i fear for the market i think its days are numbered

Nice selection of shops and stalls. We bought fresh fish and homemade goats cheese in the plaza. Set in front of the impressive classical style Court House.

Market is a poor shadow of its former self, about four years ago it was a lovely thing to do in the springtime early on a Saturday morning when in Drogheda. Now unless you are really stuck there is no point in a visit, otherwise you'll be bitterly disappointed and it would probably spoil your Day so try and make sure you have something else to do in the surrounding area, say a visit to Newgrange, or one of the many Villages around the Town.
