The Agustinian church in Drogheda is such a welcoming and open church. The priests there are wonderful. Mass there is such an uplifting experience and if you are lucky to go to the 1.15 mass on a Sunday if the gospel group are singing there are no words to describe how much you feel the presence of God

Lovely church to pray peacefully or go to Mass. I like to go to pray to St. Anthony and give him the donations I had promised him if he answered my request!

Went to mass here on Sunday. Nothing much to that you say!,But it was the chat with the priest after mass that charmed us.. It being International Women's day, we were all invited to light a candle at a shrine of Our choice, to honour a woman who inspired us. Fabulous gesture. "Have you seen our beautiful garden ' says he. And promptly takes us out to a beautiful memory garden.. It has hand painted walls dedicated to the work of Harry Clarke. Stunning. Lovely remembrance wall set in water feature. Real gem.

A beautiful peaceful church. For decades the Augustinians have created a real sense of community in Drogheda and the surrounding areas. Gerry Simpson’s gospel choir at 1.15pm mass every second Sunday is an uplifting experience.

The Augustinians have been in Drogheda since 1295 and this is the remnants of their time. The Harry Clarke windows give the church colour on a bright day.

A very interesting place to visit. The Clarke stained glass windows are truly worth the trip. The church has a history that goes back to the first Augustinians who came around 1300. Closed and reopened, destroyed by fire and rebuilt. There is also a school and the Friar who spoke to our group was an absolute delight - in his attitudes and what he is doing in the community today. There is a new memorial garden in the rear with the names of deceased parish members and now others as well. It was all so special.

Clarke's stained glass is the architectural feature of this church not to miss. It is however a tranquil place to visit in the busy town centre. The augustinians are also opening a garden at the side of the church which is tended by special need men. Well worth a visit.

Was staying in the D hotel and realised this church is not too far away.
Mass was on at 11, 12 and 1.15pm
I went to 12 mass. Gospel choir singing. Nice spiritual church. Worth a visit.

Drogheda is a place that you try and avoid but if you are going there then a visit to see 'Harry Clarkes' Stained Glass in the Augustinian Church is a must, they are truly lovely and other than Bewley's Cafe in Dublin or the National Gallery there is no other place to see them in their full splendour.
