I'm not a religious person but I appreciate architecture and history. A lovely church situated on the main street. Beautiful. Stunning stain glass windows and statues of saints. Just lovely.

As a Christian this holy place was really worth a visit. Beautiful church. Quiet and peaceful. Easy parking nearby too.

Oldest church in Drogheda, the first class relic of a saint (head) is preserved there. Free entrance, most of the locals stays in front of the door of the church and have a nice sit there.

The church is fairly interesting on it's own, but the history behind it, with it's dealings with Cromwell, and then the door and head from the result of Plunkett's hanging, quartering, burning etc, make this a must see. To see the head of a martyr...More
