St Peter's houses the remains of St Oliver Plunkett, one of Ireland's most famed martyrs. The Church has some beautiful stained glass windows and most importantly, a great atmosphere for prayer and contemplation.

This is a beautiful church with a very interesting history. It was very peaceful and welcoming. The history on the wall was easy to follow as I knew nothing of the history.

Very large church, with the story of Saint Oliver Plunkett Well decorated, with lots of stained glass. Good to visit. Not for the faint hearted , (the head is on one side of the church, so if you prefer not to see it )

Havn't been here since I was a kid on a school tour. Really enjoyed going back & reading about St. Oliver Plunkett and seeing his head. Very enjoyable

Large, beautifully decorated Church. Quiet and cool with beautiful stained glass and decorated walls. Contains the preserved head of Oliver Plunkett (read up on your Irish history!)

Worth a visit especially when there is a Service on or a concert or a recital which are regular occurrences in the church

A must see for all tourists, visitors and locals alike. Great architecture with a fantastic rose stained glass window but the main event is a head in a box. The head of none other than St Oliver Plunkett a marter who was hun, drawn and quartered. The head is in a glass case and is well preserved with a smile... More
