We contacted Mike Ryan of Executive Tours at the suggestion of friends who had used his company before...and are we glad we did!
He set up a ten-day itinerary for us AND made changes we requested in advance of our trip.
Our driver, Eugene Long, was friendly, very helpful, brimming with good information about locations along our itinerary, and very accommodating for our needs and requests.
We visited the "mandatory" sites in Dublin, such as St. Patrick's Cathedral, Trinity College / Book of Kells, and Kilmainham Jail, during our first two days, then headed out for our tour of smaller towns, castles, historic sites, and plenty of Irish pubs across southern and western Ireland!
Eugene provided us each day with bottled water, wi-fi service in his car, good conversation, and advice on places to visit, shop, and eat. He could not have been more valuable to making our first trip to a European country such a joy!
If we decide to visit Ireland again, Executive Tours Ireland will be our first call!

Just returned from our second trip to Ireland. First, I want to highly recommend the use of a private driver for your next vacation. This is the second time we did this (first was in Scotland back in 2017). A private driver allows you to visit without the hassle (and fright) of driving on the other side of the road. Forget GPS, just sit back in your seat, relax (in a luxury car) and let someone else take care of the driving. You also hear the history, stories and get a real flavor of the country (and many counties) you are visiting, and you can see the knucks and crannies of the many beautiful towns and roadways as you go (you won't get this on a tour bus).
My husband and I decided to do it again with Mike Ryan's company this year. Our driver was Niall. And we cannot say enough wonderful things about him. He was a gentleman, very knowledgeable about each town, the languages and dialects, stories of each region and county. We had an itinerary, but worked in spontaneity along the way and with Niall's suggestions we saw things that we would never have seen without his input. Those turned out to be the best things we saw. We looked forward to each day and to the adventures we knew we'd have with Niall. Our favs were: Gap of Dunloe (in Killarney)--suggestion: stay at the Killarney Plaza hotel--well situated to walk into town for a great dinner or drink. Must do Sleigh head drive, and Sky Road in Clifton. The views are unreal in both places---pinch me please. If you can, visit Kylemore Abbey. It was a private home, an abbey and then a private, elite school for girls---it is now open to the public. Finally, you must see Dunluce Castel. The most magnificent castle we saw on our 11 day trip of the island. Dingle is a beautiful sea town--and a drive through Connor's pass is amazing. Really there is no where in Ireland that is not beautiful. And don't let anyone tell you the Irish can't cook. We thoroughly (consistently) enjoyed the food. A final word or two: saw two of the Titanic museums (one in Coubh--the old Queenstown) and one in Belfast. Both are worth a visit. Finally a shout out to Ciara at Jamison Distillery. She was the best distillery tour guide (funny, scary knowledgeable, and patient answering all of our Qs). Loved her!
If you're considering a trip to Ireland, spend a few extra $ and hire Mike Ryan's team of drivers. I promise you, you'll never want to travel any other way. Note: by the time you rent a car for x #of days, pay for fuel, figure out GPS, you've made up the cost of hiring a driver who knows WAY more about the island than you do. Our Ireland adventure was originally planned for August, 2020, and after being canceled twice because of Covid and once for medical reasons, our group of four couples, friends and neighbors, finally made it to Ireland for a perfect two week vacation, largely due to the efforts of Mike Ryan and Executive Tours. In 2019, Mike created a customized itinerary based on our interests starting and ending in Dublin. Over the course of four years, Mike kept Executive Tours' cost at the originally quoted price.
From the moment we met our driver, Peter Noonan, until we were returned to Dublin, we were on a fairy tale adventure! Although no fairies were actually seen, we did see several fairy forts! Peter was entertaining, knowledgable and the consummate problem solver. If anything wasn't perfect at our hotels it was addressed immediately. He even arranged for perfect weather! Did I mention that his driving skills are unparalleled? Literally!
Ireland is stunningly beautiful and the people are friendly, generous and kind, so it would be hard to not have a wonderful time in Ireland. But, the attention to detail and the personalization of our experience by both Mike and Peter made this trip exceptional. Thank you!

I wanted to reach out to you to tell you how much we enjoyed our trip to Ireland. We created memories for our family that will last a lifetime.
Hiring Executive Hire Chauffeur Services, Executive Tours Ireland was the best decision we made when planning our trip. We were really able to relax and enjoy the trip without the stress of planning every detail of the trip and driving the challenging roads of Ireland. As the person in our family who plans such activities, I truly appreciate everything you, Alan and your team did to arrange our travels. All of the activities, accommodations and restaurants were wonderful. We came home feeling like we had a true Irish experience.
Most importantly, we want to tell you what a fabulous job Alan did. He is great! Always on time, very knowledgeable about everything Ireland, very thoughtful of his customer’s interests and needs, and more than willing to accommodate our wishes. For instance, when our daughters loved seeing all of the lambs all over the countryside, Alan added a stop to one of planned routes so Lydia could hold a baby lamb. It was one of the highlights of the trip for her. He also goes above and beyond for his customers. When our youngest daughter came down with a cold, he went to a drug store and bought her some medicine and some Vicks and brought them back to us at the hotel after his day of driving was complete. He is also a great story teller. It is a difficult job to travel with total strangers and be able to relate to all of the members of the group, who are different ages and have different interests, but he was very relatable to me, my husband and our two 20 something year old daughters. We felt confident and safe with him and his excellent driving skills throughout the trip, even on some of the scariest Irish roads.
I apologize for not reaching out to you sooner, but we have been extremely busy with an impending move and the sale of our home.
Our many thanks to you, Alan and your entire team for making our trip to Ireland so special.

I have used Mike's company now for three (3) trips to Ireland - in 2017, 2019, and 2022. We had Peter as a guide for our first two (2) trips, and Adrian (Hoppy) as our guide for our third. I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel a fair few places, and I will never use a company and people as great as Executive Tours. Mike is fantastic. Peter and Hoppy are fantastic. The tours they design and meticulously plan for you are fantastic. These people and this company are like family to me at this point. I love everything about Ireland, will be re-visiting often, and will ONLY ever use Mike and the great people he has working for them as part of my vacations. Do yourself a favor and don't look anywhere else. These people are the only way to travel.

Our driver, Seoirse, was kind, funny, knowledgeable, and very thoughtful. We had a terrific trip to Ireland in large part because of our experience with Executive Tours/Executive Hire Chauffeurs. From the seamless booking process to the final drop off, everything was professional, efficient, and enjoyable.

My sister Mary and I just got back from a trip to Ireland including 6 days touring with Seoirsie. He was a very careful driver and very knowledgeable about all things Ireland. We were having trouble hearing him due to road noise, so he allowed us to sit in the front passenger seat on a rotating basis. He did a great job finding the ancestral home areas for 2 great great grandparents. Dublin, Belfast, Giants Causeway, Derry, Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, Dingle, Slay Head Drive (and afew castles and churches..)and back to Dublin......such beautiful countries.

Planning an international trip is daunting with many variables including transportation options and what sites to see. Mike put together an excellent itinerary that made our trip very easy and stress-free. Our tour guide, Eugene Long, was simply fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Ireland’s history. He answered all our questions with patience and added interesting anecdotes that brought the tour to life. The tour was well-organized, and was highly flexible to stop and see sites you may not have considered before arriving. Playing with the puppies at the Joyce country sheepdogs and the breath taking views of Kinsale were highlights of the trip. A truly memorable experience - thanks again Eugene!

This was my dream trip with all my family & because of Mike & Paul Hayes our driver, it was just a magical adventure. There is nothing bad I can say about our trip. The Country is beautiful, the people are so friendly & the food was terrific. The trip was planned by Mike also taking into consideration my limited walking ability. If you are considering a fantastic visit to Ireland I very strongly advise you to consider Executive Hire Chauffer Services for touring Ireland in complete comfort, safety & caring drivers.

We are a group of 4 ladies returning to limerick for a 2nd time October 19th to 21st .... we have the first 2 days covered but wondered if you could offer a tour on the Sunday? If so, where would we go? Flight home is at 7pm from Shannon.

I will be renting a house in Limerick (near Adare) in mid August, 2018. There will be 6-8 family members in our group. We aren't familiar with what's around the area, but would like some ideas for private tours to local sights. We will have already spent 3 days in Dublin before heading to Limerick.
