rented 2 bikes from Jim last month and could not recommend him or the Greenway enough, he is very professional, knowledgeable and reliable. The bikes we rented were in excellent condition. We cycled as far as Abbeyfeale but due to the rain did not cycle back. Jim allowed us leave the bikes in Leens hotel where we had a lovely lunch. A must for all as the cycle took us 2 hours at a steady pace.

Hired a bike for my wife to do some of the Limerick Greenway. Jim organised to deliver(& collect) the bike from the b&b we stayed at(which was in Newcastle-West). Jim made sure we were aware that if we had any difficulty to ring him and he would send out a fella to come and fix/replace the bike, anywhere along the greenway.
In fact he attempted to deliver the bike to the b&b before we got there and came back a second time after we had arrived to deliver us the bike(at no extra cost).
As it turned out the bike was ideal. Everything just worked on it - start to finish, no problems. It was a pretty light bike too. Based on my and my wifes experience, I would highly recommend using pedal pursuits.

We booked a couple of bikes very last minute but were accommodated very well with 2 excellent quality bikes with a great range of gears. Pick up and drop off times and locations were very flexible too. A great service!

We recently hired 11 bikes from Jim in Pedal Pursuits bike hire for a recent family break in Limerick - Jim was so helpful during the booking of the bikes prior to our trip and even helped in the planning of our trip. He could well accommodate the varying age ranges in our group with lots of options to make sure everyone got the bike that suited them best. Jim was helpful, friendly and professional when we met to collect the bikes and again on return. The bikes were very good quality, in good condition and reasonably priced. Delighted to have hired from Jim and highly recommend Pedal Purduits.

Jim was so helpful and informative from the outset. He helped us pick the best section of the Greenway to suit our family group taking five and seven yr old cyclists into consideration.
Bikes were delivered to us and later on collected in NewcastleWest.
Pedal Pursuits have a wonderful range of bikes to suit everyone and take great care to listen to what you want/need.
We were well impressed and really enjoyed the excellent service which included providing help to tighten our bike carrier on the tow bar that had come loose.
Pedal Pursuits are the cycle rental company to go with - you won't be disappointed 🚴♂️🚴♀️🚴

We heard about Limerick Greenway from the media. We were staying i with a relative locally and were looking for healthy activity. Found Pedal Pursuits Bikes on Web. On Tuesday 10th Aug we called to Glendarragh, Newcastle West. Apparently, the bikes are normally delivered to customers. We found the wife partner of the owner, who gave my wife and my self 2 excellent bikes. Helmets also provided. Bikes had 3X7 gears ideal for any hills. She did not take a deposit as she said she had our car!
We set out for Abbeyfeale 18 km and got there in an hour and a quater with stopping. Uphill at first and then mostly downhill or level. The route follows the old railway line so the hills are not significant.
There are plenty of places to stop and picnic. After tea, coffee and scones and buying some suncream we headed back to Newcastle West 24.5 kms away and arrived there after 1 hour and half.
We passed many other cyclists, walkers and families. Everyone says hello. In Newcastle we locked our bikes to a railings, lock provided, and wandered around. My wife wanted to see Ela Maria Boutique, a women's clothes shop. After tea, coffee sandwiches we cycled 7/8 kms back to base.
A very relaxing and healthy experience which we will do again.
By the way when we returned our bikes we were shown 2 new electric bikes which are also available for hire. I think I'll stick to reguar bikes.

Jim who owns this bike hire business was a delight to deal with. We really loved how flexible he was with the collection and delivery of the bikes along the Limerick Greenway. Also, the gel seats he provided made our 60km cycle feel like a breeze! I’d recommend his services 10 times over!

Booked in advance, Jim @ Pedal Pursuits could not have been more helpful in advance on both email and text in terms of what Greenway sections were open, route to take, where to park, where to eat along the way, etc. Unfortunately due to upgrading works only the Newcastle-Rathkeale (14 km) stretch was open when we visited, so didn't get to do the full Greenway, just the 28km round trip between the two towns. Entire Greenway will be open from 1/7/21. The stretch we did was nice though. Good value bike hire and great service/chats with Jim
