Lovely and tranquil with lots of paths. But ruined by excessive €5 car park charge. Probably won’t go back, would recommend somewhere with free parking like Doneraile Park etc.

This is a really nice family camping park. Pitches are spacious and nice and flat. Lots of lovely walks in area and coffee shop on site was a big plus.

If looking for a free nature tonic this area is the ideal prescription.
It has hidden forest trails, lakes and lots of historical pieces including a fine house.
NOTE: If visiting there is a barrier that takes 5.00 in coins for entry or OPW members card. Otherwise park at roadside a bit before and walk and still a powerful dose of nature.

This is a beautiful park with lovely walkways to relax for a few hours. The only annoying issue is people who think it is their right to let their dogs run free off lead. It is a public park and this is not right or fair. Also to disgusting owners who don't pick up their dog's mess. This would not be allowed in any Killarney etc., parks so why is it acceptable here?

Each county should have amenities like this Maximised. Lovely walks, trails and the playground. The trails suited walkers, mountain bike etc. Also had a campsite, mobile home park which makes this place special and controlled. €5 fee to enter car park but soo worth it. Hours of open space,

Often come back here for a nice walk and clear the head. Plenty of trails for walking, running or cycling. The Coillte card is 40€ annually and allows access to several of the forest parks nationwide.
Well kept and currently seem to be upgrading the children's play areas.

Are the paths OK for cycling? We're a young family so we wouldn't be going fast or getting in the way.

Hi,
There are lovely roads in the park closed to traffic. Would suit a family cycle. I visited in winter though. You need a car to get to the park since it's dangerous to cycle at the side of the national roads.
Enjoy!

No caves at Curraghchase Park. Crag Caves outside Castle Island, Co. Kerry worth a visit. Childrens indoor play also on site.
