About
The White House Bar on 52 O'Connell Street Limerick is one of the City's most historic establishments, the quaint Georgian building itself, dates back to the early 1800's. Through the years it has been home to poets, writers, musicians and all other artists alike and now with a new lease of life it has reopened it's doors to offer the people of Limerick a new venue right in the heart of the city center with a new breakfast and lunch menu including a wide range of Wines, Whiskeys, Vodkas, Gins and Craft Beers all served up in the uniquely charming and relaxing ambience that you can only find in The White House Bar.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely bar in the centre of Limerick with excellent outdoor heated area. The bar was refurbished a few years ago but kept the old world feel and look about it. The staff were friendly and efficient and the drink priced well. The toilets are good quality but were not clean on the evening I was there on a moderate busy night. This is a management issue and if corrected the place would get 10/10.
This is one of my favourite Limerick bars.

Was in limerick for the weekend and we popped in here when we heard the disco music ..it was nearly 10:30 and was our first drink of the night as we were late getting to limerick.
I ordered a double Bacardi in a pint glass with a bottle of Diet Coke and a double gin and tonic..€23 ..might as well have asked for a pint of water..no alcohol..there was very little ice in the glass so it wasn’t that the ice had watered it.. they are just taking the mick....asked a few local girls who said they also have heard ppl complain about it but they were drinking beer..clever girls..
We left after our watered drinks ..can believe this is still going on.

They have Murphys, Beamish and Guinness on tap and they have a real stove. A real stove!! Need I say more? Yes, I will say more. They have an open mic poetry night on Wednesday. Some very very very weird nights in there which I wont go into any further. Great spot for a quiet cosy pint.

Ambience. Guinness. Perfect!
After a long drive, stopping in here was perfect. Great decor. Lots of wood. Packed with locals. And the Guinness spot on for a thirsty traveler.
