Not very friendly place. Went in for a drink with my partner and I was blanked. I think you would really want to like your craft beer to spend some time here.

Use the bathrooms BEFORE you go here...
Jan 2020 • Friends
Don’t get me wrong, I like the Wickham Tap but only because the staff are lovely and I like craft beer but I have been going here in and off for a few years and the bathrooms are always absolutely disgusting.... there is always human excrement on the floors, walls and toilets. You almost feel like you have caught a disease each time you have left and need to use a whole bottle of Purell.

Called here on a Friday night under the pretense this was a craft beer house “off the beaten track”.. Upon entry was greeted by a peculiar sewage type odour, but blanked by the tattooed barmaid.. Place was very quiet but for a few teenagers playing video games on a big screen down the back and 3 or 4 middle aged folk sitting at the bar. Stood at the bar for a few moments waiting for an acknowledgement before barmaid decided to ask her 2 regular buddies seated if they needed more drinks.. both obliged and just my luck one of their kegs needed changing mid pour.. barmaid walks out from behind the bar to switch barrels and brushes past me as if I wasn’t even there. Left without having the option of ordering drinks, will never return.
Avoid.

Craft Ales Galore
Aug 2018 • Solo
I stumbled upon this place whilst wandering the streets of Limerick and the lure of craft ales was too much for me, and I succumbed to the taste. The size of the pub is quite deceptive as it extends back a lot. The selection of ales was really good and I chose a nice wheat beer. The place was a mix of older locals, young hipsters, tourists and the like...the barman was really friendly and helpful, and knew his ales.
The place has a nice feel to it and although I was there in the late afternoon...I can imagine it gets even more lively and social later on. I would definitely come back the next time I am in Limerick and can recommend it to anyone who is visiting the city.
