I met my parents for a drink after work ( I was designated driver so I was having water) they refused us over me wearing work clothes which is black leggings and a t shirt, the staff made it a very uncomfortable situation and left us embarrassed in front of other customers. You think with everything after covid they would be grateful for the custom but nit an ounce of gratitude shown. Will be telling others not to go here and certainly won’t be back to make amends anytime soon !

The staff in Ma Hogan’s are absolutely sensational, the most friendly, attentive team we have come across in Limerick. Wonderful people, amazing atmosphere, just a 10/10 pub.

lovely pub, got the best seat in the house right beside the fire place. The Guinness will not be beaten, definitely the best pint of the black stuff I've ever had and my grandfather agreed, looking forward to bringing him back there. Staff lovely also.

A well kept bar, clean. The mens bathroom could be more welcoming though with an automatic air freshener.
A nice selection of beers (including craft), whiskey, gin etc. But sometimes the selection is low, but always offered an alternative related if out of your usual.
Nice crowd at times, goes from being quiet to busy.
The staff, knowledgeable with a local ear. Sara, Izzy, Sean and Glenn - great to talk to and honest in there approach.
The location, city centre based very close to everything.
Overall, a lovely homely pub.

Old fashioned pub in the heart of the city, good place for some quiet time either alone or with the friends sipping some exceptional beer or whisky. Nice atmosphere, interesting decor and wide range of the beers and whisky, highly recommended, you'll be not disappointed.
