You might just call this "the witch hunt in Kilkenny". Not ghosty or spooky and you have to wear smelly capes. Just not what I expected after going on many other ghost tours in other cities. Still fun for an hour out in the dark.

Joe was really knowledgeable and answered any questions we had as we walked through town and through a cemetery. Our group was help up to allow for another loud group of stragglers causing us to leave thirty minutes late and the other group was loud...More

This was a walk through the town with "joe". Our group was fun,all of us from somewhere different. He told us the history of Kilkenny in a interesting way. We enjoyed meeting the others and seeing the sights.

It took some convincing to get my husband to go on this tour with me, but we both thoroughly enjoyed it! Very informative and entertaining at the same time. Definitely worth an hour to get a lay of the land and some history.

Our tour leader was lovely, but not really very into the spirit of this tour. It was disappointing, because we love ghost tours generally. The advertising is misleading. I feel bad to leave such a poor review, but I wish I had not spent the...More

We had young teenagers with us and they were expecting a much more spooky atmosphere. Joe was a lovely guy and knew his stuff but he wasn’t very engaging as a tour guide. I don’t think I’d recommend it.

We're typically more "off the beaten path" travelers... we didn't see the Blarney Stone, or go to Temple Bar... so when I heard someone recommend the Ghost Tour in Kilkenny, I admittedly rolled my eyes. But - we were in Kilkenny for two nights, and...More

This tour was a good introduction to the history of Kilkenny. While our guide was friendly, he wasn't a particularly engaging storyteller and didn't really create a ghost tour vibe. Given that it's a relatively short tour, the price is not a great value and...More

I think so, especially if your child is interested in history (made interesting) at all. I'd bring my kids for sure.
