The d.W.b is a fine, early 1900's styled victorian bar, adorned with an ornate mahogany bar & fitments. Beautiful advertising mirrors grace its walls, while an open turf fire provides a unique warmth & cosiness while you sink into its comfortable leather seating & private snugs. Here at The Dylan we aim to serve the highest quality potations from our discerning menus of draft beers, craft beers, wines & fine cocktails, but the real 'spirit' of the d.W.b is our ever expanding selection of the finest whisk(e)y's and superior gins the world has to offer. Our 'Spirit Library' currently consists of over 200 whisk(e)ys, and 30 gins, with both whisk(e)y and gin tasting trays available at the bar. If pure spirits aren't for you just yet, The Dylan also offers a specialised cocktail menu designed around our expansive spirit library and concocted by our very own cocktail maestro, Jim Rafferty, and includes everything from Gin Martinis to Whisky Sazerac's, with our Monkey Gland Cocktail being a house favourite.Once you've discovered your drink of choice why not experience it within the comfort of our Award Winning Snug (Best in Ireland 2011) at the front of the bar.B'th a newcomer or a regular always Taste, Feel & Experience 'The Spirit of The Dylan' The Dylan Whisky Bar (The d.W.b)

Firstly, if this is a Bob Dylan fan based bar then the t-shirt behind the bar and the wall motif near the toilets needs to be worked on. It's a small bar that has been tacked onto the bar next to it (biddys) by the...More

Stayed in Kilkenny 3 days and popped in for a dram each day, the 2 main owners are very educated in the ways of whisky and they were able to recommend, afternoon to early evening very quiet, but that didn't bother me, they had some...More

On the recommendation of a local, we stopped by here for a whiskey tasting. They definitely do have quite the variety and selection of whiskeys to taste. The bartender was fabulous. He walked us through a lot of the ones we could taste and several...More
