Verry refreshing to see modern art exhibition in the basement of the castle! And the castles kitchen is in the vicinity as well!

That in just four average sized rooms and an entrance area that this Gallery can amaze, surprise, and create such conflicting moods with contemporary art. The staff are friendly, accessible and knowledgable as well. I love going back there.

We loved our 45-minute visit thru the gallery! Joan was the docent there at the time and she was a delight to talk with regarding each artist and their work. If you're in Ireland to experience true Ireland, then take the time to see it...More

You can always rely on the Butler Gallery for something completely different! The exhibition I visited was about morse code etc - it was more a documentation of communication methods rather than any interpretation or art. Nicely documented though.

It was great to see how things were back in the days of old. We were not disappointed with our visit and would definitely recommend it to family, friends and visitors.

Fabulous exhibition celebrating the launch of the Irish made animated movie 'The Song of The Sea.' Gallery is well kept and the displays are amazing, well worth a visit if you're about the castle this time of year.
