Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A superb collection of modern art, beautifully curated and housed in an historic building, restored to the highest standards. It’s a real pleasure to see work of this standard, both the collection and the restoration of the building. Kilkenny is very fortunate to have such a powerful cultural resource in the heart of the community.
As a matter of fact, the garden and the cafeteria are both equally uplifting.
So pleased we were able to visit. We will be back.

Leisurely morning stroll through the gallery. The before & after photos of the re-build were very interesting. Cafe for brunch in a great location, great menu choices. Easy parking right out front.

I had looked forward to seeing this building and was delighted to visit. Part of it was not available on the day because a new exhibition was being installed, but I really enjoyed the collection, especially for the emphasis on local artists. So nice to see!

You do not need to pay to enter this sweet gallery downstairs from the Kilkenny Castle entry. It's right before the Castle cafe. When I was there the Gallery had a show from a local artist whose paintings looked like mosaics. Kind of like mosaic maps. Worth stopping in.
