We have visited a lot of castles over the years, and generally find them a hodgepodge of fixups, furnishings a mish mash, narrow paths to walk of plastic to save the carpets, dank & musty. So we went to Kilkenny expecting more of the same....More

An impressiv building with an intereting exhibition. Helpful guides at almost every corner. Garden and park around the castle invite for a walk. We enjoyed it a lot.
