We highly recommend the Kilkenny Boat Trips tour. Cliff, your guide, unrolls a geological, political and historical tapestry of information on the town and the country, all from the stern of his brightly-painted boat as you cruise serenely on the river, away from the crowds. Great way to get a local's perspective of this beautiful part of Ireland!

Don't miss the chance to take a lovely boat trip down the River Nore with Cliff, who shares much knowledge and history of Kilkenny and the ancient east while he captains the boat. We loved his stories, his terrific recommendations for the rest of our trip, and the scenic beauty of the journey.

This was a lovely morning activity we completed in Kilkenny during our stay. The very knowledgable tour guide from Portugal was friendly and professional and knew so much about Ireland and in particular Kilkenny. This was worth the €15.

It was a lovely ride along the River Nore and Cliff was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the area and learned some interesting facts about the area. The views of the castle from the river are amazing as well!

Cliff was a great guide. We all found it most enjoyable and relaxing. Time we’ll spent. Cliff gave us suggestions as to where to eat and authentic pubs and music. He gave us great history of the area as well
