Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was not open in the middle of the day when I visited. Would have been nice to see inside as from the outside it is just another tower.

A key corner tower in the medieval walls around the city, it’s great to see it restored. It looked marvellous against the deep azure of the sky.

A symbol of the power and importance of the city in that era, at our visit it wasn’t open. But it was possible to walk around it and see its solidity.

If you have the time, and are already in Kilkenny, by all means go by and take a look. If you don't, be more discerning and visit one of the higher value sites that are available.

The tower was really cool to go see. Such history in the wall and the whole town and this little section has stood all these years

The Talbot Tower has been restored and the public viewing area enhanced with informative information boards outlying its history. Another of the important historical sites that are well worth a visit in Kilkenny.

This was one of the things to see on the city map given out to tourists, there was a little information on the boards out the front but it was not accessible when we went even though the tourist information said accessible to the public. Just a quick photo opp really

This place is definitely worth a visit. One of the gates was closed when we were here, but we still enjoyed exploring the rest of it and finding out a bit of history.

It is of historic interest but the only guides are the placards with information. One can walk around but there is no entrance to the interior. Well worth the short time it takes to survey the site.
