Very disappointed. Unless you are really into seeing how canal locks work skip this one. Although the food was acceptable you are crammed into the boat to eat and have very little room. You feel like a sardine. The canal is dirty and one can walk faster than the canal boat. The food however was quite good but you can... More

easy to get to celbridge by car.train or bus....get to celbridge main st....canal only 15 minutes walk from there....head to hazelhatch train station.....now 5 minutes to canal..and walk till you drop....boats on the canal..nice friendly people on way....arthur guinness buried here...in ardclough for serious walkers only....but on cycle way only 20/30minutes...good sign posts nowadays....arthurs way.........................

I've always wanted to come see it. It is as amazing as it appears on TV and movies. When we came out of the train station I was supposed to be arranging boat tickets to get to our hotel but all I wanted to do was watch all the action and look at all the buildings seeming to sit on... More

I driven past this canal several times. Each time I see it, it takes my breath away. Because of the way I admired it, my friends stopped very briefly for me to have a good view and take pictures. The cool water is very soothing.
