We had a lovely morning in Tralee Wetlands with our 4 and 6 year old boys. We joined in a group who were tree planting. Our boys had a wonderful time planting holly trees and strawberry plants.

We booked a guided tour through the wetlands and it was great. We really enjoyed it. Thomas (I think!) was our guide. He had a lovely relaxed approach and was extremely informative. We had our 2 little girls with us aged 5 and 3 and he was really good with them and made sure to include them in the tour. We saw ducks, ducklings, birds, swans, signets and even a fox. We did the pedalos as well which was also very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend a visit to the wetlands and I would return again in the future.

Today we went on our school tour to the Wetlands. It was fantastic from start to finish. The children had an amazing day doing each of the activities. The staff were so accommodating and had everything well organised. Great value also. Thanks to the staff of the Wetland for having us. We will definitely be back again. I would highly recommend for other schools and families, a great day out 👏🏻👏🏻

Great place for young & old! We took the guided tour of the centre with a very enthusiastic & knowledgeable guide, who really engaged kids, parents & grandparents alike. really recommend it to all nature enthusiasts. kids loved the edible veg and seeing a newt and lots of creepy crawlies ;-) waffle dock, playground and lots of space to play & run around are great, too.

Lovely area with very friendly staff, recommend highly for anyone visiting Tralee. Pedal boats on the water are great fun especially for kids.

Today I visited the waffle dock at Tralee bay wetlands and I’m delighted I did !! I got the “Strawberry Shortcake” waffle and my mom got the “Banoffee” waffle and they were really delicious!! They do a great selection of treats so definitely worth the visit 😋 We then went for a walk around the lake to see the baby swans 🦢 Lovely walkway and really kept clean 🧽 Hoghly recommend everyone visit sometime ‼️

We visited on a quiet weekday. Our 4 year old had a great time being "captain" of the pedal boats followed by a great little walk around the park. Mary at reception was fantastic... So enthusiastic and such a warm greating !

Came for breakfast not being sure what to expect. Firstly the staff were pleasant and kept to covid 19 rules. The breakfast's were perfectly cooked. the Irish breakfast was without a trace of oil and my egg perfect. The real boss's brioche cooked to perfection and the latte spot on.
So why spoil the mood with juice from an Aldi carton ? Totally out of place with such beautifully cooked food.
If you can sit outside then it is a lovely setting but inside the building echoes like a school changing room. You can't hear yourself think.

So a mixed bag
Food great
Good value
Crap orange juice
And sit outside if you can.

Really interesting and well-organised investment has created a super environment for a wetland experience. The lay out of the space, the hides, the reeds, and the other facilities are really impressive. Ducks and swans in residence and a wonderful array of other birds (herons, curlews, egrets) in the vicinity.

Great fun on the pedal boats for all the family. Lovely views of the mountains as you're pedalling around the lake.
