Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Rental bikes are probably OK if using for a day or short rides. Three of us rented "Touring" bicycles for a 4 day trip on Ring of Kerry. The poor maintenance and upkeep caused us to visit another bike shop for repairs on two of them. The third also had problems with shifting.
When I challenged the owner operator at the College Street location he was defensive asking what did I expect for 20 Euros a day. I told him I expected bikes that could last 4 days without mechanical issues that could have been easily prevented with good preventive procedures and tuning.
To their credit they did deliver a new bike while in Portmagee after it blew through an old tire and then broke a spoke. This person rides about 7,000 miles a year and is experienced. My bike could not shift front chain rings and I was told it was only a "minor adjustment". A minor adjustment to someone who doesn't know how to do it makes the bike very compromised.
I was disappointed with the owner/operators (two brothers) and their attitude towards our problems.
Strongly advise using other vendors if possible.

Because we had a large group coming to Killarney, I started communicating with Emma at O'Sullivan's Cycles a year in advance. I knew we needed to hire at least 20 bikes for two days, a combination of standard hybrid bikes and e-bikes. Emma was fantastic to work and a wealth of helpful info even beyond the bikes. When the days finally arrived, our bikes were all ready first thing in the morning and worked perfectly. Raphael at the e-bike store was also super helpful and friendly. I look forward to returning to Killarney some day and will definitely rent from O’Sullivan’s Cycles again.

Wanted to see the Gap of Dunloe. Great advice about how best to do it from OSullivans, on the Muckross Road branch. Gave me a map which I looked at the evening before. With his advice, opted for a long route (70km approx). He gave me a very suitable ebike, which easily make it around. Bike was in excellent condition also. Think this was the secret and made my day so wonderful, thanks. Beautiful day and great way to see unbelievable Gap of Dunloe. He also gave me a repair kit, great as I was a lone cyclist. But you meet so many people en route. Thanks OSullivans.

We hired bikes from here one road bike two ebikes and did a The Black Valley and the Gap of Dunloe. We were initially conservative with the batteries on the ebikes but they lasted the whole trip and were a great aide on hills. Friendly service, they have a good mix of bikes. Ebikes are only available on the Muckross Road shop, just down from the Castle Lodge. Definitely would hire from here again.

Great customer service, reasonably priced and bikes were well maintained. Collected from Beech street and the guy was friendly and very helpful. The bikes got us up the Gap of Dunloe, Molls Gap and all around the park. Would definitely recommend!

Definitely recommended. We rented our bikes from the shop on College Street, they were in excellent state and were affordable. But the best part: Derry was totally helpful and friendly! He gave us advice on the best route for us and how to make the most of it. He made sure we'd be safe out on the road giving us all the equipment needed for the ride and in case we had a puncture, so we came back two days later to rent again. Thank you Derry!

Rented bikes in Killarney now four times and always from O'Sullivan's. Good bikes, quick, friendly, good price. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Handy shop location. All sorts of bike types and accessories available. The staff are particularly friendly.

The bikes here were in good condition. Neil made a great effort to make sure each of us had a bike that fit. Careful seat adjustment. Excellent maps and directions. We had a great ride out to the lakes. Neil also was a great help with a special place we wanted to see, the Seven Sisters stone circle outside of town. Neil met us first thing in the morning and called a taxi driver who he was sure would know how to find the Seven Sisters site. Above and beyond the call of duty!

Very friendly helpful staff. Nice well maintained bikes and for a very affordable price. We biked all over the national park and really enjoyed our time. They provided all biking necessities: seat pad, bike lock, and helmets. Highly recommend this bike shop

My 17 year old daughter and I rented 2 bikes from the Muckross Road location back in April. Neil at the bike shop was great and told us how to ride to Ross Castle to take the boat to Lord Brandon's Cottage and we road through the Black Valley and the Gap of Dunloe. We both road to the top without having to walk the bikes. Those who don't ride or aren't in good shape will find it challenging. We locked the bikes at the top and hiked. The ride back to the bike shop was longer than I expected. Mr. O'Sullivan, the owner of the bike shop, met us on our return and took our picture. I'd rent from them again.
