- James OTipperary, Ireland13 contributionsFriendly and WelcomingJust played Beaufort. Despite all the rain that fell in the past week. We were delighted that our golf went ahead and the course didn’t disappoint. It’s a good test of golf but has wide fairways and is forgiving. We really enjoyed playing this course. The management and staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodated us at relatively short notice. We finished in the club house with a lovely bowl of soup. Thanks for your hospitality and we’ll hopefully be back again.Visited November 2022Travelled with friendsWritten 7 November 2022
- ANNETTE S1 contributionGolfing NirvanaThe cute Kerry people have kept this golf course a secret for too long, not anymore! I played this course on a gloriously sunny day in July, with the majestic Carrauntoohil as a backdrop, absolutely stunning landscape. The course is magnificently maintained, the greens were challenging (at least for me) but were in immaculate condition. There is so much to admire as you make your way around the course. The staff at the clubhouse are so welcoming and helpful. The course is only a 10 minute drive from Killarney town but as you drive up the long avenue, with the mountains ahead of you, you enter a haven of tranquility. I will definitely be back.Hi Annette Thank you for your fantastic review . Delighted you enjoyed your day golfing here with us. Doing their bit for Kerry .. what a beautiful friendly course ... amazing layout and views of the mountains ... very practical clubhouse and lovely chatty staff and members ... just like real golf clubs used to be ... imagine being asked "did you enjoy playing our wonderful course in that sunshine" .. would recommend this to be on anybody's bucket list visiting the KIngdown as its only 10 minutes form Killarney and great value for green fees ...

My mother had her 70th Birthday party on Sunday the 1st August and it was a great success. The food was delicious and the staff couldn’t do enough to make sure that everyone was happy. The younger children had space to run around and one of the staff produced a golf club and 6 balls for the teen to practice their putting!! I would highly recommend Beaufort Golf Club.

Hi,
I recently visited and played Beaufort Golf club with three old school friends from bygone years! This is half way between Killarney and Killorglin on the Ring of Kerry and is set in a stunning valley of parkland landscape. I have been travelling to Killorglin since 1967 when my parents first brought us down as a family. However this is only my third time playing Beaufort over the years and what a great place it is. It has matured beautifully. The tranquility of it all is the first thing that strikes you the moment you step out of the car. Then the stunning views and the backdrop before you leave the car park and you realize immediately you are in a special place within the kingdom county of Ireland. The surrounding mountains that overlook the golf course throughout are spectacular. The golf course itself is a hidden gem, not overly difficult with a number of open fairways and one or two signature holes but beautifully maintained and a lush Irish green landscape throughout. We played off the white tee boxes which plays 6554 yards so it is not short, penal in places but forgiving also. The tranquil and beautiful experience on the golf course is definitely complimented by the excellent food we had afterwards in the players Bar/Lounge with extremely friendly staff all around that makes Beaufort Golf course a wonderful day out and not to be missed. I highly recommend an outing here on your next visit to Kerry.
