This Cathedral is very modern and very high. Most Cathedrals I have visited to date have been old so this had a different feel about it. There was a wedding on the day I dropped in.

We were limited for time and did not go inside, but the cathedral is beautiful from outside and wish we had more time.

It's not far off the main street in Killarney and I don't think we would have ventured unless we had been told about it by a friend. Very beautiful and well worth the visit.

St. Mary's Cathedral is another one of Ireland's beautiful churches. It's a huge Gothic cathedral with beautiful architecture and gorgeous stained glass windows. It's worth a visit if you're in or near Killarney, no matter whether you're religious or agnostic -- it's a visual feast.
