Attending a wedding at St Mary's is a treat indeed. A beautiful setting, easy to access with nearby parking. The atmosphere in the cathedral is divine and the space and windows are worthy of much study.

This is a typical church from the era, nothing really sets this apart from others we have seen across the country. The wooden beams holding up the roof are a style that is nice for Ireland compared to other parts of the world. But, this church is a quick stop or not if you don't have time.

An amazing cathedral, which is made more impressive when you learn the history of it. Over 60 years to build, it overcame the Hunger and stands magnificent in Killarney. Visitors to Killarney must see it.

I attended Mass at this cathedral, the pride and joy of Killarney. It was a well attended service, attracting many people of all ages. The outside looks a bit intimidating...no wonder Bram Stoker used parts of the spire as an inspiration for Castle Dracula. The inside is lofty and soaring, though the high altar area is lit a bright green, and the Sacred Heart statue in the transept is bright red, giving Our Lord exposing a somewhat realistic looking pulmonary organ a disconcerting glow. With the winding roads of Killarney Town, this church on its outskirts and connecting it to the Park, is a welcome anchor.

Attended mass here today. Loved the service which was only a tad different from ours in US although the church itself was much more impressive (and of course much older). Great organ music (beautiful old instrument too) although no choir. Priest's voice beats ours as well. But the church is the main non-religious attraction with soaring stone columns, wooden roof and gorgeous stained glass. Worth a visit by all denominations.

This Cathedral was directly across the street from our hotel and was very nice to view for a few minutes. Looks to be the anchor for the area.

We did a walking tour of the town and took in all of the historical places listed on the walk. They were all wonderful and full of history.
