We went as a family of 4 December 2016. It was very well set up and the kids really enjoyed it. However if it was raining, I would hope that there would be an alternative for everyone to get inside. The kids loved it and thats all you can ask for! The gift they receive is fine, quality could be... More

The traditional farms are literally a trip into the Irish past. The old cottages are just as they were fifty and more years ago. It is basically a loop of an old little country road, sealed off and away from modern traffic with a working farm, surrounded by animals of various sorts and a few old cottages that contain a... Traveled here in June. Had debated whether to visit as we were trying to see sites on the Heritage Card, but decided it would be great for my daughter. We had great weather, only a few sprinkles and lots of sunshine. We were there when it first opened and only 2 other small groups ahead of us. The only downfall... More

Slightly off from the usual reviews I post but I wanted to congratulate the team at the farm for their outstanding santas magical kingdom this last Christmas, my 3 and a Half year old boy was amazed around every turn from the horse drawn carriage to seeing santa this exceptional evening was worth every cent, more generally I have visited... This was a most enjoyable and beautiful place! The cottages were so charming and I sampled bread and fresh churned butter. They were delicious!! Saw some adorable pigs and a very vocal donkey! :) A lot of fun. I would have had my daughter with me but she was ill.

After you buy your tickets, they have a shuttle that takes you from farm to farm, which is necessary, and do not take to long each time you need to be picked up. These traditional farm houses were privately owned in the 30's & 40's, prior to the use of electricity. In the small two room house we learned about... More

We visited on a sunny Sunday and spent about two hours walking round. Lovely place to stroll around even without children. As a couple we still enjoyed seeing the animals, enjoying the weather and seeing the old-style buildings. The actors weren't particularly to our liking as we don't enjoy them in general at attractions, but the one that we did... More

This is a good tour to see how farms used to be run in ireland. Its not far from Muckross house so you can easily combine both at one time

We visited as a family (with young teenager) on a quiet weekend. The houses are arranged from a simple farmhouse at the start ranging to a well-to-do farmhouse and yard at the finish. These buildings brought back many memories to me of my family and their stories of living arrangements in similar houses in Macgillycuddy's Reeks - but I did... More

We very much enjoyed this visit and believe it is a must see for anyone with kids visiting Irleand. Just the perfect combination of historical houses and plenty of animals to keep Adults and kids engaged. Personally I would visit even without kids and preferred this to the long dry tour of Muckross House which I'd skip next time. Lots... More
