Myself and my partner took the twilight kayak tour in killarney with Hester and Josh, Nathan organised our trip and ensured we had all the details to prepare us. Before hand we had an issue as we had another commitment that we needed to attend so we asked to move times. Nathan was very supportive and although we could not change the day and had to finish early he accommodated us which to be honest we were not expecting given we had only given him an hours notice. As we finished an hour earlier Nathan provided us with a gift voucher which he really did not have to do, we felt very thankful for this as it was our mix up and not there's. Customer service was definitely guaranteed from even before we began!!
We met Hester and josh by Ross Castle who took us out, they were friendly, kind and patient given we were beginners. We both were made feel extremely comfortable and throughout Hester ensured we got the history of the area, from Ross Castle, to the Abbey to the lakes and caves, it was amazing, tranquil, relaxing and an exilerating experience. Honestly 10 out of 10 for everything, there are many kayaking places in killarney however, please do not go pass outdoors ireland they are amazing I would highly recommend them to everyone. Myself and partner are already looking forward to our kayak tour again in Glengarriff Bay in coming weeks.

As someone with 0 kayaking experience, having never sat in a kayak before I would highly recommend. We went on an evening kayak from 6-9 and had the most amazing time. It started with a quick lesson on land so we knew what to do and then straight into the water.
We absolutely loved every minute of it. Josh and Hester were fabulous guides who were able to share so much information about the history and nature that was around us and of course tips for kayaking!
It was so quiet and lovely out on the water, as a nature lover it was such a lovely way to watch and experience the nature around us. We got to see ducks and swans of course and some herons. We also caught glimpses of sika deer on the islands while we floated passed them.
This was the absolute highlight of our trips to Killarney and we will most definitely be back again. What a magnificent way to finish off our weekend in Killarney! If you have the opportunity definitely do it. Perfect for beginners!

I entrusted my two most precious possessions to Outdoors Ireland, my children. I'm happy to report that Nathan look after them as if they were his own. Although he's definitely not old enough to be my kids parent! Nathan couldn't have been more helpful. He was professional, informative and engaging the whole time. All I've heard d about since is how "Nathan said this, or, Nathan said that" The fact that both teenagers have remembered dates and events that took place on and around the lake goes to show how engages they were during their trip. I absolutely recommend taking a trip with Outdoors Ireland and I assure you we'll be going on another adventure when we return to the kingdom.

One of my favorite activities was our Sunset Kayaking on the Lakes of Killarney. Nathan was a fabulous guide, helpful and very informative about the lakes and the wildlife. He was an absolute pleasure. The beauty and tranquility of the lakes at that time was amazing. I even joked that I can toss out my Blood pressure medication, because of how peaceful the trip had been. I highly recommend this activity and we look forward to doing it again (and checking out the coastal kayaking as well).

I love my kayaking and whenever we are on holiday we try to find a tour guide kayaking trip.
We found this one in Killarney online and my wife contacted them via email and Hester responded quickly and politely and continued to do so with answers to our many questions 🤣 we weren’t 100% sure of our itinerary and arrival into Killarney but Hester was very patient and eventually we arranged a date.
From start to end our expectations were exceeded, Hester was very friendly on arrival, her Husband William was equally friendly, we shared the tour with a lovely family from the US so a total of 4 adults and 3 kids but William and Hester managed the entire group very well, it was fun and informative and we got to kayak through rocks, out on the choppy parts of the lake and into the gentler parts, spotting plenty of wildlife and deer on route.
It was like kayaking with friends and the 2.5hrs was well worth the money. Hester took some great photos and true to her word they were sent to us via WhatsApp the same evening.
Thank you Hester and William for a fantastic experience, one we will treasure!

Myself and a friend booked in with Nathan for a morning kayaking on Killarney Lakes. We went with our guide Josh and the experience was incredible, the highlight of my trip for sure!
The scenery was breathtaking, we stopped on some islands and learned some of the history from Josh, who also had the answers to all of our questions about the area and wildlife, we even spotted herons and deer as we kayaked. Josh was extremely knowledgeable and clearly very passionate about the outdoors. We felt safe and confident even though it was my first time kayaking, the entire experience is one I will be doing again anytime I return to the area as it was so tranquil and beautiful.
The price was brilliant for the quality of the experience we had, it was only 60 euro each for 3 hours and looking back I would have expected to pay more for such an amazing morning. A must-do, the groups are kept small and everyone was really helpful. Thank you Nathan and Josh!

If you have 3 hours to spare while in Killarney, I highly recommend taking the kayaking tour and experiencing the magical lakes from the water. Our guides were Hester and William, and from the time we first met in the car park, myself, my wife and my 16yr old daughter knew we were in safe hands. This tour is for anyone, whether you are experienced or have never sat in a kayak, the guys take their time with so much patience, to explain some simple and basic techniques for your safety, after that everyone in the group is launched 2 at a time. Both Hester and William are an encyclopedia of history and general knowledge of the lakes and surrounding areas, providing all kinds of interesting facts and information. The tour includes a 15 min stop on one of the islands to explore an old Abbey and take a well earned break for the arms!
You don't have to worry about phones or keys etc as the team keep them safe and secure for you for time you are on the water. Hester also took some amazing photos of us over the 3 hours which she sent to me afterwards, some great memories to keep!
All in all, a very relaxed 3 hours (which seemed to just fly in) spent paddling with two amazing and very accomplished kayakers where your safety and enjoyed is so obviously paramount for them. We as a family cannot recommend this tour highly enough! Thank you Hester and William👏👏🫶

I recently had an amazing 3-hour kayaking experience with friends thanks to Killarney Kayaking, owned by Hester and William. We had an unforgettable time on the calm waters of Killarney Lake, surrounded by crystal-clear water and majestic old rock formations with cave systems. William and Hester were extremely professional and safety-conscious, ensuring that our adventure was a memorable one. I have unforgettable memories and great photos and videos to cherish. Thank you Hester and William for everything. I highly recommend this magical kayaking adventure with Killarney Kayaking to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience. You won't regret it.

A brilliant instructor and a credit to his craft. Having completed both MS1 and MS2 with Nathan, I highly recommend him to anyone contemplating doing these courses. The vast knowledge that this man has and so diligently delivered in his course is really hard to beat.

Did sea kayaking with Outdoors Ireland in Glengarriff yesterday. Fantastic experience. In my mid 60s and haven’t kayaked for 50 years but guide / instructor Mark was brilliant and put me completely at ease. Beautiful location and we covered about 5k going out around Garinish Island and into the many little inlets that abound on this stretch of coast. Would highly recommend. 10/10 if the scale went that far.

Thank you for all of the great reviews. My family (wife and two daughters, ages 13 and 10) will be visiting in August and I have a few questions. One, will my daughters be able to take out their own kayaks (they are both tall, the 13 year old is 5'6" and the 10 year old is 4'11") or will they sit in a double with my wife and I? Two, does the 3 hour tour travel through the caves or is that only on the 7 hour day long trip? Thank you in advance for your help!

Thanks for your question and apologies for my delay.
We would keep your kayak trip family specific and each of you would have their own boat. Our touring kayaks are all single person. If either of your girls begin to struggle the guide can tow them a little.
The half-day kayak trip goes through the caves also.
