We had a great time at muckross. The gardens are lovely and the house was fab. The best part of our trip was the farm. We walked round although you can hop on the little bus that drives round. The walk is about 1 1/2. The beautiful little farm houses and farms were delightful. If you enjoy history then this... More

We didn't do the tour but just walked around the gardens and the lawn by the lake. It was very pretty - and free to do- but also extremely busy. There were many busses and just a lot of people walking around. Very pretty spot!

The guided tour lasts about an hour. You need to check in to get a time slot. There were about 25 people on the tour which took you from room to room throughout the house. The guide did a good job and describing the history of the home which was interesting. Queen Elizabeth stayed here! The home features some original... More

Had a wonderful tour of Muckross House and wish I had more time to hang out in their gardens. Absolutely gorgeous.

We did the guided tour of the house. It was very informative and enjoyable. The gardens are amazing. This was one of our favorite activities we've done in Ireland! Highly recommend this stop!

We took a horseback ride and a hike as well as a walk around the beautiful estate. I would have loved to take a look inside; maybe next time!

Lots of fun. The staff does an excellent job of telling the history. Feedback: we would enjoy the tour even more if there was an opportunity along the way or once at the end for Q&A. The house itself is well preserved and interesting. Definitely stop to see!

We visited here on a dry clear day in June. The parking is free and there's plenty of it. The house is set in beautiful landscaped gardens, with many beautiful plants all in bloom due to the time of year. We decided to follow one of the walking routes out to the waterfall. It's about a 30-40 minutes walk, but... More

Definitely worth the time and money! The tour is long, and you stand the whole time, but it's very interesting. The grounds are absolutely beautiful (and you don't have to pay), so they are a must walk. Bring comfortable shoes and make sure you visit the Mucross Abbey! It's stunning! You are not allowed cameras on the interior of the... More
