    The most epic experience ever
The absolute best experience ever. This was my 40th birthday bucket list trip. Patrick made today one of the best ones of my life. I cannot thank you guys enough. Forget all the other falconries, this is the one you must book. I just cannot quit smiling.

    Great experience
My brother and I were looking for something to do in between 2 places on our trip. We found this online and glad we did because we were not disappointed. We met with Mira who not only was great with the birds but extremely informative. We had a blast, learned alot, and took some great pictures!

Fun to meet James, Leah, and Puka -- three amazing birds!
Such a magnificent experience. Patrick quickly involved us into learning about and interacting with James (a Harris Hawk), Leah (a giant owl), and Puka (an Irish barn owl). A highlight of our visit to Killarney and a must-do experience for anyone interested in wildlife!

Do yourself a favor, book a time
What a wonderful experience! The birds were amazing, Liam was exceptional and we all had a great time. My wife, 15 year old son and myself learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with the birds. Would gladly go back

    Don't miss this!
Mira welcomed us at the car with open arms and an owl to start this awesome experience! She was knowledgeable about all aspects of the birds and it was great! I will admit I was a bit nervous about doing the hawk experience, but there was nothing to be nervous about. With the 4 of us who did the experience, there is ample opportunity and time to spend with the hawk and the owls. Mira answered all of our questions and made us comfortable from the beginning. I would highly recommend this experience for something unique to do. The pictures were awesome!!!

Amazing introduction to falconry — Falconry Kerry, Co. Kerry Ireland
What a fantastic experience! My wife and I were fortunate enough to have booked a private adventure one on one with a falconer and four stunning birds…two falcons and two owls. Our intro to this world was entered with some trepidation however Mira, an extremely talented falconer, was extremely patient with us. Her clear explanations and thoughtful insights made both of us feel confident and safe. Mira told us exactly what to expect…and our expectations were greatly exceeded! We learned so much (who knew that owls can’t smell?). We got amazing slo-mo videos of these magnificent creatures flying directly at us and then landing gently on our gloved hands (there was of course a chicken reward in our gloves at the end of each flight…thank goodness!). Our time at Falconry Kerry was truly the highlight of our wonderful ten days in Ireland. Many thanks to Mira and Liam for allowing us to absorb memories which will not be forgotten. By all means, when in Ireland, visit Falconry Kerry. You won’t regret it is an understatement!

Up close with amazing birds of prey 🦉🦅
This experience came up in online recommendations and my word it lived up to the reviews. Mira who is a year into Falconry apprenticeship is so accomplished and knowledgable, not to mention patient & personable, guided us through an amazing interactive experience with James the Harry Hawk, Gandalf the Great Grey owl & Puka (?) an Irish Barn owl. Seeing these magnificent birds up close - on your arm, is an event we will remember for life. A must do experience - thank you Mira and Liam 🙏🏽🦉🦅

Unique experience with majestic birds of prey!
Our guide was Mira and she was so informative, fun, and patient with our group of 4 for our private falconry walk. We met, held (landed) 4 beautiful birds: James, the falcon; Gandalf, the large barn owl; Pukka, the small barn owl; and Bobo, the tawny owl. This was such a unique and fun experience. These are truly majestic birds and we got to experience them flying & landing on us up close and personal!

    Awesome must do experience.
Our falconry experience was fantastic. Our guide Mira was excellent. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Hawk and two owls. It was the highlight of our trip which included visits to amazing sites like Cliff of Mohr. We could not be more pleased.

    An amazing experience!!
When in Killarney , you have to experience Liam and his beautiful birds!! It is the second year we went with friends at Killarney Falconry and again we had a lovely time. Liam is very friendly , personable ,and above all absolutely passionate about falconry. Not only do you get to interact with various and beautiful falcons and owls but you learn a great deal about the birds personality , habits and training. You do not see the 2hrs go by as Liam keeps you interested and fascinated with his vast knowledge of birds and falconry. We spent a week in County Kerry and did a lot of different sites and attractions and the consensus from all was Falconry Kerry was their favorite activity!! Thank you Liam for giving us such a great experience! We will be back.

If you are even a casual bird person, the personalized hawk walk at Falconry Kerry is something you really ought to consider. The birds are sociable, the handlers are absolutely wonderful (I can't tell you how much I loved the way Patrick spoke to the owls and the hawk as if they were his kids, and how he'd also get the same goofy delighted smile we did when working them. It meant a lot to us).

Plus. HOLY MOLEY SO COOL! It's amazing to get so close to any bird the size of Gandalf or Jesse, who are obviously in great health and sure seem like if they wanted to they could put the hurt on, and have the chance to feel them land on your arm (gloved up of course) and see the neato things that make them uniquely adapted to their environment up close and personal. Harris hawks are social and hunt in groups. Jesse liked to steal gloves and hide them. Williow the barn owl actually wiggled with anticipation when she heard the bag of owl goodies crinkling.

It was a really neat experience, and I'd recommend it to anyone. Also, please make sure it's Falconry Kerry, out in Inchycullane, that you are booking with and showing up for. Apparently there is a fairly similarly named falconry site but they operate quite a bit further out from Killarney center (Falconry Kerry is less than ten minutes, even with traffic). We had to take a taxi so I just pointed to the address that Liam had given when he booked us (had no idea how one pronounces Inchycullane), which was definitely a huge relief to the taxi driver as well because she did have stories about getting halfway to the other place when folks realized that wasn't where they made the appointment.

So worth it.

My 10 family members with ages ranging from 16--75 ALL had a delightful afternoon with Patrick at Falconry Kerry just outside of Killarney. It was amazing to have a Harris Hawk land on the arm of each of us in turn! Our personal guide then had each of us "call" an African Owl and then a Barn Owl to the glove. Patrick gave us details about each raptor, explaining how they hunt in the wild. It was fascinating and extremely enjoyable.

What a cool experience! Our Guide Mira was so knowledgeable and explained the process as well as so much information on each bird. My 10 yr old daughter was a little apprehensive, but Mira assured her that each bird would land right on her glove, and they sure did. She was smiling from ear to ear. We loved Gandalf and Pooka! Something so different and very exciting. Definitely give it a try, fun afternoon.

My mother and I had a wonderful time at Falconry Kerry! We were able to fly multiple birds, including two Hawks, and an owl. Our falconer was very patient and knowledgeable! We also had a wonderful time feeding the alpacas while we waited for set up I would definitely recommend making a trip to this falconry

Fantastic event.
We had a private tour (there were two of them). Patrick showed us three owls and a desert buzzard - and let them fly and us.
What he told us was incredibly exciting - about the peculiarities (both character and species) of the different birds, the falcon hunt with historical backgrounds, behaviour and vocalisation of the animals, etc.
You can feel his joy in and with the animals.
Of course, they all sat on our gloves - or flew at him.
Experience that thrills.
Only recommended.
You can also just drive there, the phone number is on the door.
But since the tours have to be arranged, it is probably better to call in advance and make an appointment. That's how we did it and that worked without any problems.
And what videos we made.. 🙂🙂🙂

Definitely make a reservation for experiencing Falconry Kerry in Ireland! Our wonderful, compassionate, and experienced guide, Mira, gave a fantastic presentation and allowed us the opportunity to handle the birds (with gloves) as they went through their paces. So amazing! This was a major highlight of Ireland and our lives!

I loved learning about the different birds. We had plenty of opportunities to interact with them. The birds all seemed very happy to do what was asked of them in exchange for food. They seemed very well taken care of. I enjoyed the experience so much that I would love to do it again sometime.

A visit to the area would never be complete without the falconry experience. Our group of 20 were absolutely thrilled to meet the birds up close and learn about them. It is clear that the handlers truly care about them, too - they are as committed to them as they could be.
Every participant in the experience will be able to put on a glove and have a falcon, hawk, and owl land on them - and feed them. The birds seem to know they are impressing us, and they certainly show off their personalities.
Do not miss the opportunity to meet these incredible creatures and their handlers. It will make your trip all the more memorable!

The venue was a little difficult to reach today due to roadworks, but one of the workmen checked where we were going and allowed us to enter the otherwise closed road. Liam met us in the yard, and we introduced ourselves. We had a COVID 19 safety briefing and a splash of sanitiser before going to the field. We gloved up (vinyl and leather, left hand only), and Liam brought out the first bird. George the Harris Hawk was very active, motivated entirely by scraps of food. Liam was very informative, and very patient with questions I'm sure he'd heard a million times before. When George's crop was bulging, and he was literally fed up, he slowed down a little and wasn't keen to return to Liam, knowing he would be returned to the travel box. However he finds chicken scraps irresistible so was returned and bird number two came out, a barn owl named Pools. He was less of a showman than George, but put on an impressive display of absolutely silent flight. Bird three, an African Spotted Eagle owl named Freddy was next. He was a bit bigger than Pools, and with attitude. Grumpy Cat with wings. The final owl, Leah, didn't fly today as she is mid-moult, making her look a bit scruffy. We got to handle all the birds and take as many photos as we liked, and the birds were very comfortable with our adult group. Liam explained they're not always so happy with groups of children. The experience lasted around 90 minutes and was worth every euro of the price.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Katie! She made sure my sister and I had an absolutely incredible time, while answering all of our questions with her excellent knowledge and experience (while also being patient with our delighted oohing and ahhing.) It was clear that her first priority was the safety and well-being of the beautiful birds, and at the same time I felt like she also focused on making sure my sister and I both had plenty of 1:1 time with each bird and making sure we had a phenomenal time. It was one of the highlights during our trip to Ireland and I would 100% recommend the Hawk Walk with Falconry Kerry
