What a wonderful area. We loved it. Dingle is beautiful quant and charming. A place that may not be on the average bucket list but it should be. The Peninsular drive is historicly fascinating. The bee hive buildings and boat shaped rock church is very much worth a look

We road on a bus tour through the Dingle Peninsula on the Slea Head route. The countryside was beautiful as well as the coastline. I do not know how this compares with the Ring of Kerry. I live in California and have driven the coastline there along Big Sur multiple times and this does not compare. I guess I am... More

A much quieter drive than the Ring of Kerry but well worth the trip. The winding roads, steep mountain pass, cascading waterfalls... just breath taking views. The green is so green... the fog rolling down into the mountain valleys. The sheep on the mountain sides, the views just keep getting better.

Don't tell anybody but the Dingle Peninsula is even more stunning than its sister Peninsula, the Ring of Kerry. The drive around its windy coastal roads is breathtaking and the high cliffs that stand strong against the wild Atlantic Sea are the most western part of Europe. The patchwork drywalled fenced landscape is steeped in history, with remnants of The... More

Dingle peninsula was amazing. Who would thought Atlantic coast was so breathtaking at every corner and turn in the road. Would go back and stay in the town of Dingle. Quaint

Dingle is an really outstanding peninsula! Small winding roads, high mountains, mountain pass, steep cliffs and the Atlantic ocean. It's extremly beautiful! Dingle town is nice, there is a lot of nice charming pubs and B&B:s there and if you want to see the famous dolphin Fungi, you can take a boat tour in Dingle Bay and you have a... More

We did this drive in inclement weather, but it was still great. Some nice places to stop along the way and it's not too long of a drive.

We decided to take a bus tour instead of driving ourselves. Together with Slea Head it was the highlight of our visit to Killarney: emerald green scenery, dramatic Atlantic coast, beautiful, but rough beaches. "Real" Ireland at its best. Dingle town is nice, too, but for me personally a bit too touristy.
