This is a 3,000 acre working sheep farm, not a theme park replication of a farm, as such it is very interesting but businesslike. There are two areas of demonstration: the working dogs herding the sheep and the shearing and vaccination of the sheep. You also get to see some of the newborn sheep. You can tell these people love... More

Kissane Sheep Farm is an actual working farm, and very impressive! My boyfriend and I called ahead in order to learn the day's schedule; we arrived on time and joined a large tour group to watch the Sheep Dog demonstration, which was amazing. After the demonstration, we were ushered inside to see and hold the new baby lambs. It was... More

Once again, I was back to visit the Kissane Sheep Farm with a Large Group and it was a Wonderful Experience for all. The Sheep Dog Demonstration given by Evan and John Foley was amazing and Dash and Gwena and Rose are truly outstanding. Jane is now in semi retirement also came out to help the other Dogs. Then we... If you are hoping to get a taste of "real life" Ireland, this is a great place to visit. This is a real working farm, so you cannot just stop by any time! Check their website calendar for scheduled shows. The presentation consists of three parts in shearing season, and two parts outside of shearing season. There is an opportunity... More

An interesting and informative display. The dogs are amazing how they can round up the sheep. Viewing the baby lambs in the barn and getting to hold them was a highlight for our group. Overall a great stop. Perfect for all ages.

My daughters loved seeing the baby sheep (they got to hold a four day old orphaned lamb). The sheep dog demonstration was very interesting for the whole family. I was just a bit disappointed that there was no sheep shearing demonstration when we went.

The Kissane Sheep Farm offers a glimpse into the real world of shepherding in Ireland. A demonstration by border collie trainers will fascinate you. After the demonstration, you will be able to enter the barn and hold some lambs. A great family stop! Unforgettable!

Our boys ages 9-13 are animal-obsessed so we knew we had to make it a point to stop by. I emailed the owner last night to make sure there would be a demonstration today and he promptly got back to me. Before the demonstration we saw some of the lambs in the barn, and we were able to hold a... More

We went there outside of the season, but even though the were theoretically closed, he took his time an explained everything! He showed us his farm, his sheep and answered our questions! Great experience and I would go again any time!!

I never knew you could train an animal this well. The animals response was excellent you have to see it to believe ,when I first herd of this on the tour I thought oh well, just watch it for another experience in life. It turned out to be a fantastic delight.
