This was one of the highlights of our trip! It was incredible watching the dogs work together to get all the sheep back to the enclosure. You can see that the Kissane family are passionate about what they do and really want to keep their farm going. We learned a lot and would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Kerry.

This was one of the highlights of our trip. This farm has a demonstration of the working dogs that the public is invited to see. I loved seeing how talented the dogs were and how the handlers give them commands. They do a great job of sharing their passion about farming and educating the public about their business. You and... Our family loved visiting Kissane Sheep Farm. We were fortunate enough to visit just after lambs were born. Our kids got to hold the baby lambs - so sweet. The sheep herding demonstration was fantastic. It was very interesting to learn about the markings on the sheep. Provided so much more appreciation for the many sheep farms we saw all... More

This is a wonderful family experience. We were so impressed with the dogs and their handler. In no time at all, the dogs found and rounded up the sheep into a tight band. The sheering was also interesting, especially for children. Did I say that the setting is also gorgeous?

Excellent and fun. The kids and adults enjoyed it. The only difficult part outside was being able to hear the farmers. Due to the wind , if course, it was difficult to hear some of what they said. There were quite a few people when we were there ( at least three bus loads) . After we moved inside to... More

OK. So you think watching sheep being herded is not the highlight of your day. Well, maybe not, but this is still worth a trip. When I looked at our tour itinerary and saw this stop, I thought I might just stay on the bus and catch up on sleep. I'm glad I didn't (despite the fact that it was... More

As part of our group tour of Ireland, while touring the Ring og Kerry, we visited this farm, to learn about sheep grazing in Ireland, we saw a sheepdog and sheep shearing demonstrations. The weather was nice to we also enjoyed this beautiful area.

A small family-run farm that offers sheepdog and sheep shearing demonstrations to bring in a little extra income. This is in such a beautiful area, and it was super cool to see the demonstrations of how well trained the dogs are. It was also a really cool experience to talk to the 92 year old grandmother about how the farm... More

It was very cool to see the dogs herd the sheep and how they would direct them to wherever the needed to go. While the show was happening they were telling the crowd some cool facts about the ranch, dog, and sheep herding in general. Seeing how they shaved the sheep and getting to pet them was very cool.

Our family group rates this tour as one of our best experiences in Ireland. Our 10-year-old loved every minute. Before the demonstration, we viewed some of the new lambs and ewes in a corral, where he was invited to help feed one lamb with a bottle. Outside, viewing stands are set up so that everyone can see the dogs in... More
