We've had friends visit a sheep farm in Australia and enjoyed it very much so we decided to stop by the Irish version since Australia is not in our near term plans. It was a treat watching the Border Collies show off their herding skills...More

We stopped here with our tour group (Image Tours) and loved it! The farm itself is so beautiful, and they do a demonstration of shearing the sheep and a demo of the sheep dogs herding. Watching the dogs was by far our favorite part... they...More

If your interested in seeing a working sheep farm, this is the place to go. You get to see the Border Collies in action, and then a shearing demonstration. You find out that the sheep actually like being sheared, to them it's like a message.

When we arrived two of the dogs eagerly greeted us (or maybe they were herding us into the building). We went outside and the caller demonstrated the intelligence, agility, and discipline of these border collies. It was amazing to watch even in the rain. Inside...More
