Great dogs behind stunning scenery.

This was super fun, very smooth. We were not there for long but owner did a great job really bringing you into the world of sheep with both history and current events. The dogs... read more

The Sheep Farm show was interesting. The sheep can hear commands from the handler up to a mile away. The sheep shearing was also interesting

On a spur of the moment we decided to add this stop on our trip. Glad we did. We were able to pet some of the sheep, the baby ones were especially cute. We also watched a sheep herding demonstration. The hillside and surrounding area is absolutely beautiful, and we learned lots about sheep. While we were in the bleachers... More

My husband and I just returned from Ireland on a Rick Steves tour and this was one of our stops. It was so enjoyable, beautiful and entertaining. In addition to the magnificent sheepherding dogs we also say a sheep shearing demonstration. This is a family run operation - please put this on your itinerary while you are in Ireland -... More

Stoped in here on the way to kenmare as my girlfiend who is a massive sheep lover saw a sign for it. We arrived just in time for the sheep dog show which was great and very educational. Watched the sheep shearing then and spent some money in the shop. Its 7 euro each and was well worth it

The farm looks out on Moll's Gap, which is simply stunning. The demonstration of how border collies perform their jobs never fails to fascinate me. The obvious love the dogs have for their owner and for the tasks at hand is inspirational. The comprehensive demonstration and explanation of shearing and treating the sheep is incredibly well done. Just try to... More

We had an excellent family experience. Very clear and thorough explanation from owner, great sheep dog demonstration as well as shearing. Contact them the day before to ensure correct time.

I loved this place! We enjoyed a demonstration of the sheep dogs at work and a shearing and it was all quite educational and entertaining. If you enjoy being around animals, it's a can't miss. One of the young boys in the group was selected to work with the sheep dogs (which I'm guessing made his day!)

We loved watching the border collies run far away, on command, then approach so carefully, to round up and direct the sheep into the pen. We also enjoyed seeing Shaun sheer a lamb, this summer. He was very careful and very skillful. Later, we were invited to hold a tiny lamb. We accepted. Our granddaughter and then I took turns... More

This is a very interesting and picturesque place to stop. You can watch the highly trained and experienced dogs round up the sheep by following a series of whistles and verbal commands. Very impressive. And they are not simply working on a flat field, but rather the dogs are rounding them up over rocky hills and dips. This makes for... More
