The tour itself was great. You got to see beautiful Irish country side, a guided walking tour around Galway, viewed the beautiful cliffs of Moher, and had lunch at a pub in Doolin.

Our tour guide started off as Richie, very funny and a good driver. He later switched off with Tommy who was also a great driver which was comforting being on a big bus going down tiny country roads. He also made good stops for pictures and pointed out the sites. They are very strict on time which I liked, but gave plenty of time at each stop.

We got picked up in Dublin at 7am, stopped at a convenience store on the way out for snacks and restroom break. Got to Galway around 9am, where Tommy guided us on a walking tour around the town and then let us off on our own with about an hour; we went straight to the pub lol. Met back at the bus and off to the cliffs! We took a windy country road where we stopped at the top for pictures. The weather started clearing up around then so it was nice. When we got to the cliffs it was very windy and cold but manageable and there’s a visitor center inside with a cafe, gift shop, and a nice informational display. We were there a little longer than we needed, but if the weather were warmer we could have spent longer walking up and down the edges of the cliffs. After that we hopped back on the bus, short drive to Doolin where we had lunch at a pub; we of course ordered fish and chips and a pint. The fish was delicious, but the chips not as crispy as we like. Here the fish was cod and tasted fresh, would definitely recommend. Staff was friendly and quick! Even with all the people from the tour. Got back on the bus for another scenic drive down the coast towards Galway to drop some folks off then back into Dublin.

The drive is pretty long so be prepared, we left Dublin at 7am and returned at 8:30pm. I usually don’t sleep in vehicles but I even dozed off for a bit. There was no WiFi on this bus so download a movie or listen to music. You can bring a pillow because we stayed on the same bus the whole time. I’d recommend bringing a backup battery for your phone as well. And a poncho would be a good cheap investment Incase it rains and also acts as a wind breaker. I wasn’t too cold because I had a wind breaker on and gloves, but I wish I had a scarf to wrap around my face at the cliffs; got a little numb there.

All in all, it was a great tour, we really enjoyed Tommy and Richie, they kept it very informative and entertaining. I will definitely recommend this tour to others.

My parents, my sister with her boyfriend and I went on the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren day trip on 5th of August. We really enjoyed it!
There have been a couple of stops on the way before we hit the port of Doolin to take a boat trip to view the Cliffs from the water level (this was optional and involved additional charge).
It was followed by a delicious lunch in a local pub. The fish was so fresh, simply to die for!
After that we hit the top of the Cliffs so we could admire them from a different angle.

Our driver Tommy was great! Full of stories and jokes, making sure we had enough time to take in beautiful views and enjoy the trip. And most importantly, he had his ways to make the rain stop every time we left the bus 😁
He made us all feel welcome and it was a pleasure spending the day out with him!

Hi Patrycja ,Thank you for leaving such detailed positive review. Glad to hear Tommy used his ''magic button'' to switch the rain off every time you were exploring the area ;-) And mostly, that he managed to entertain you all with his knowledge and sense of humour. We hope you will join our tours again in the nearest future.

I had a great experience with this tour. Kylemore Abbey was spectacular and very worth the drive. Ken was fantastic and always kept everybody informed and engaged. Seemed like he genuinely cared about his group enjoying the trip and history. I felt safe as his driving was very professional the entire time and I was able to enjoy the remote areas and views. Cong was a wonderful place and I am glad to have visited. I would highly recommend Ken and the tour.

We booked Cliffs of Moher & Burren tour. The cliffs were awesome and our driver John was really great, but the tour was quite badly organised and ended up costing more. Right at the beginning of the journey we were told that due to covid 19 they had cancelled some of the activities that were included in the price: Gleninsheen Wedge Tomb, the 5,800-year-old Poulnabrone Dolmen and Ballyalban Fairy Fort, and also a visit to Kilfenora to see Celtic Crosses was cancelled. We were offered an option to pay 15 euros extra per person to get a one hour boat trip in front of the Cliffs of Moher instead. That was quite unprofessional way from company's side to replace those very interesting attractions that we thought that we could see. We felt a bit scammed as we had to pay more to get a possibility to experience something else. Other option would have been to wait in Doolin until the boat trip was over. The boat trip itself was also very poor from its staff's side. We were given false information regarding how the Cliffs have formed (by atmospheric pressure - that's not correct), about the building date regarding a tower on top of the cliffs etc. It was a bit hilarious and frustrating. The quality of that boat trip didn't convince us but oh well, one more experience :) Other than these couple of odd things the day was really nice and as we live in Ireland we will for sure take another trip to see more of the area. But as we felt that we cannot really trust the tour description and we were not informed in advance about any changes, and there was no word about cancelled activities due to covid 19 on their website when we booked and read about this tour, we will either try another tour company or we will rent a car next time.

First off, let me say the tour is good. The guide was fun and informative and would recommend the actual tour and guide. The problem lies in the collection and drop off. When booked, I was offered one of several collection points. We were staying outside of Galway but chose "Salthill Hotel" which was deemed a collection point. We drove to this collection point, on schedule and the driver/guide was also on to time. On return we were dropped off to a completely different point in Eyre Square, miles away. We informed the driver and he said "it would take too long to get back to Saltill". It took us an extra 2 hours to get back to Salthill. On return we noticed there was clamping in operation. Fortunately, we weren't clamped but who's to say the next person wouldn't be?
The driver said there was "lads out sick today" and some passengers had to swap buses along the way. Personally, I think we were forgotten about but the driver could have still rectified the situation but preferred not to. For the record, I received collection and drop off instructions for Salthill. We had a small child with us who was already tired from the day long tour.
My advice, flag early with driver your drop off point. Source different parking as clamping could be in operation if you're not staying at that hotel and finally screen grab your itinerary if it's questioned by the driver.

Hi Declan, Thank you for touring with us and for your feedback. We are happy to hear that our tour and the driver were enjoyable. Prior to your travel we exchanged emails where you were advised that while we do provide the pick up service for those boarding the tour, drop offs must be requested from the driver, as their shifts finish at the completion of the tour. We agree with your advice in the review that the best idea is to speak with the driver about the drop off at the beginning of the tour rather than at the end. Unfortunately we have no authority over parking arrangements in Galway City.We wish you pleasant travels in your future.

Everything was perfect!! From the tour itself to the amazing guide accompanying us. The bus picked us up at Sleepzone Hostel and then at around 10am we departed from Galway.

Right from the begining, Tommy, both our driver and guide was so friendly! During the tour he managed to count us stories and very interesting facts of the History of Ireland while being funny and driving us safely, such a nice flex haha! During the tour he even put some Irish songs, creating such a cozy and immersive environement.

We stopped several times during the tour to visit the different landscapes, my favorite was of course the gigantic Cliffs of Moher which were very impressive. We had enough time at each stop to savour the view and take pictures. (And the weather, even in January was perfect!)

The irish pub in which we ate was also delicious, maybe not so student friendly in terms of price but the quality of the food was undeniable.

Finally we headed back to Galway at around 4pm to arrive at 5:30pm, early enough if you have to make a connection to Dublin.

Overall it was such a full rewarding day complemented with an amazing guide, which made us happy to have experienced it. :)

A friend and I went to the Cliffs of Moher and Burren and enjoyed the trip with Éamonn as the guide. The itinerary, the info about the places, how he tried to teach us some Gaelic and the places chosen to stop and eat were nice.
The only thing we were disappointed about was the fact that even having being picked up on the available collecting point which was pretty near to where we were staying, after the tour we weren't dropped off at the same spot, but at the city centre. The problem is, it was stablished at the info received that we would be picked up and dropped off at the same spot. We weren't the only people with this problem after finishing the tour and the guide told us that "sometimes it happens". Even if that sounded funny, it wasn't that funny to walk back to our place under the wind, rain and cold.
This shouldn't happen if you don't want your customers to get a bad taste after a good experience.

My husband and I did the Southern bucket list tour and it was hands down the best vacation we’ve ever taken! Our guide (William) was the best. He was professional, had tons of knowledge and made the entire trip enjoyable, relaxing and fun. If you’re going to Ireland for a week or longer I would highly recommend doing this tour, you get to see so much and you’re really well taken care of. I will have no hesitation about booking tours through this company in the future!

Peadar was a wonderful guide on our trip to the Cliffs of Moher this Wednesday. The knowledge shared of the area, history, language, and culture were well worth the price of admission. Unfortunately, one woman attempted to hijack the tour schedule and stifle the guide multiple times which made the journey a little awkward at times. Peadar handled the constant disruptions with grace and made the rest of us feel more comfortable. He deserves a medal for his patience . We are excited to travel to Connemara with Peter today :)

I went of the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren trip.
If you visit Ireland I would definitely recommend visiting The Cliffs of Moher. If you visit the Cliffs of Moher I can not recommend Galway Tour Company enough. The best part of this trip without doubt was Gary the tour guide. He was everything you want a tour guide to be, he made the day as enjoyable as it could be a I came away knowing so much more about Ireland, Galways and the areas we visited. I bumped into him the nest day, and he couldn't have been more helpful directing me to the bus stop. Thanks Gary!!
