This is a place to see and hear music in Galway. Right across the street from the MOna Lisa restaurant (excellent food). When you walk in there is a bar, but go upstairs for the music. There is another bar up there.

Our restaurant waiter suggested we visit here and we were not disappointed. There were 5 musicians downstairs, but upstairs: 21!! Couldn't believe our ears and eyes! What a treat!

Authentic Irish Pub, beer is not so expansive, and also you can hear good music. Some concerts are on the second floor, mut pay to see them then.

This was the best bar in Galway. I have seen a few reviews here say it is expensive but we found it to be much cheaper than other places. Great Music

It's likely to be packed and it's cash only, but plan accordingly for both cases because you're in for a treat.

We were 3 couples that made it to the Crane on our second night. We stopped short on our first night. I think everyone wishes we would have made it both nights. I read 2 recent reviews with much laughter. If you can find fault...More

£15.60 for 2 drinks and a lack of friendliness or atmosphere. Disappointed as reviews promised so much more. Would not recommend going out of your way to find.

We sought out the Crane Bar based on recommendations from several locals who said we should go here instead of Monroe's (on the same side of town). It was certainly worth the pretty walk across the river Corrib. The bar was nice, make sure to...More

Crane Bar is a nice pub with good beer and traditional irish music, but they cheated me, asking for a pint and half a pint of beer 17 €. It was a shameful behaviour, because it was evident that we were tourists and the bartender...More

I think it varies and it's mostly in the evening but they have a pretty good website with their music lineup so I'd check there
