Cliffs of Moher Tour Including Wild Atlantic Way and Galway City from Dublin

3,520 reviews
The Cliffs of Moher are located in Burren on the Wild Atlantic Way, a winding coastal road notoriously difficult to navigate. Spend less time reading maps and more time soaking up the scenery on a stress-free tour from Dublin. An experienced driver navigates the roads safely and a guide transports you to premium viewing spots you may have missed if exploring independently. Plus, this tour includes free time to explore Galway, too.

We had dinner upstairs and could watch the sunset. Great menu choices and huge portions. My cod was cooked beautifully with a crispy batter. Tartare sauce and vinegar supplied as well for chips. The other meals including pork ribs were delicious.Lovely friendly staff.Good prices too.

While in Galway dropped into the Galway Golf club, where one of my friends is a member, for an evening meal, early. The dinning room is situated upstairs overlooking Galway bay, early evening the scenery is fabulous from our table. It was matched by the food, I had the tiger king prawns done in garlic butter, while others had the tempura prawns as their mains and we also had the seafood pie, every one of the five were extremely pleased with our choices and the wine complemented the Meal very well, they also had a very good alcohol free beer. Service here is excellent and friendly. As with most Golf Clubs the food is great value.

We enjoyed dinner at the Galway Country Club, visiting there only because it is very near the Claremont House where we were spending the night. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the meal, and the service was excellent, above average for golf clubs. The menu offered a good selection and the prices were very reasonable.

I spent last week at an event in Galway Golf Club. Watching the Golf was enjoyable but experiencing the food was even more so. The menu is vast which sometimes creates a low expectation of quality. When we arrived I had Fish & Chips, this was very fresh (to be expected in Galway) in a light batter and plenty of fish, really enjoyed. Duding the week I tried not to repeat any dish and ate here for the week bar one visit to Da Robertas in Salthill. Pasta Carbonara had plenty of protein (chicken & ham, you would need to be hungry). The Fish Pie was Superb. The Steak Sandwhich was a real favourite with one hungry juvenile golfer. One of my favourites was a monk fish starter for about €10 served with rice and a fantastic garlic herb sauce, which is a meal in itself. My experience with the food here this week was mirrored by several friends. Maybe we hit the place on a good week, someone in the kitchen clearly cared about the food being served. I would go out of my way to try this place again.

I booked a sitting for a group of 10 adults and 3 young children well in advance. To say I was sorry and embarrassed was putting it lightly . Our waitress treated us as if we were bothering her and rolled her Eyes each time we asked questioned about the menu ( our American relations were unfamiliar with some of the terms on the menu) and simply asked a question !! This was the same in our case when another member of the party asked if the chef could possibly add a little more chilies perhaps to her stir fry , she replied I don’t think so 😢. Now on to the food I had the traditional roast Beef which was lovely but cold as the plate was stone cold . I found out afterward that everybody’s food was cold . One member of our party left to change a baby and they just left his food there without even asking could they keep it warm . There were other waitresses there of course and they were quite pleasant 😬. As I booked 3 baby chairs they were expecting children and our two table were smack bang located at the cash desk and serving area , so bags and baby chairs seemed to be blocking the way which caused some rolling of the eyes too !! The food was expensive but I noticed that not one of us out ten cleared our plates . No I didn’t complain as we had visitors but if I had the choice I would have got up and left before I even sat as the atmosphere was just cold and unwelcoming ! Not a happy camper atall and I won’t be back . Train your staff and heat your plates it’s kind of a basic start 😢

Dear Meadhbh, Thank you for your review of our dining room. I was disapointed to read of your experience. I can assure they are not representative of the norm here at the club. I have passed on your comments to the Catering team and they will be in touch directly. Kind regards, Dave Kelly General Manager
