After shopping with the crowds, it was a pleasant change to walk along the serene river that flows through Galway. It is a great diversion from shopping and seeing the sights and allows you to just unwind.

It hadn't rained all that much in previous days, but the flow of water through the city and under its bridges was phenomenal. Very exciting, but from the safety of dry land!

It was good to get away from the crowded shopping streets and walk along the river up to the cathedral area. There had been recent rains and the river was quite high and rushing along.

After navigating the crowds on Galway's shopping street on a sunny Saturday afternoon, this path along the river offered a peaceful moment and some great views. It leads to Galway's splendid Cathedral.

We were coming back from visiting the Galway Cathedral and walked along the River Path down to the Wolf Tone Bridge. Nice and peaceful walking path.

Enjoyed the walk way out to Salthill all along the water. Beautiful weather, beautiful scenery. Well worth taking the time. An easy enjoyable stroll.
