We came for the oysters and they didn’t disappoint. Excellent pints of Guinness as companions.
We tried the Hake and the Sea Bass dishes, our son had the Seafood Chowder with real chips on the side and our daughter received an off-the-menu pasta dish as she is not really into seafood just yet.
Staff were all friendly and helpful as regards menu choices. The service was excellent.

The service was second to none, the staff were just so nice to us. We had been looking forward to this night out all week, but the food was very bland, small portions and over priced.

Lovely time here! Service and food were very good. The place is centrally located but slightly off the beaten track. Fish specials were good. Everything was really fresh. Will be back on our next trip to Galway!

This really never disappoints and yet again under the difficult scenario of Covid restrictions we had a seriously excellent meal with great service and friendly commitment by everyone. A local interpretation of prawn pilpil was superb, as were the scallops and the salmon. Mains of turbot, steak, halibut and sea bass were sublime. This time we didn’t venture into desert but all were truly excellent. Presentation as can be seen from the photos is also super. Will always come back

Have eaten here previously, solo and in company . High standard always. So disappointed today. Food excellent but no one came to take my dessert and coffee order. Waited 15 minutes. Then decided to leave. Paid my bill! Waitress didn’t remember then either. 3 stars for the poor service.

Had a meal here with family, ten of us went. Bit more upmarket than we would be used to but everything was so good. Food was excellent and staff could not do enough for us. What a great place.

My husband and I had a fantastic meal in Kirwan's lane last night. Such a beautiful restaurant. The dim lighting, candles and live music create a relaxed and romantic atmosphere. The service deserves to be mentioned as it was exceptional! It isn't often that the service is faultless and it certainly was in Kirwan's Lane. Great staff doing a fantastic job! Well done. The food was delicious. We had the hake and scallops for our mains. Portions were generous too. Dessert was great. My first time ever to finish a creme brulee ... I just couldn't leave it there!😋 Looking forward to another visit to this outstanding restaurant.

Came across this little gem 25th Jan. Fabulous little quaint restaurant, never made it upstairs but we could hear fabulous music been played which carried down. Food was amazing. We had the prawns gambas to start and the prawns were beautifully cooked in garlic on sourdough bread, just wanted more.... the other dishes we had were panfried hake on chorizo risotto OMG amazing, so tasty. Also seabass in a creamy mushroom sauce.

They hadn't got a children's menu but were willing to cook anything from their main menu in a more simple version. Kids both had chicken fillet with plain spaghetti pasta and they lapped it up. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Also what's more made us feel extremely welcome with the children on a busy Saturday night at 8pm.

Had a beautiful bottle of Albarino wine called Charquino.

Couldn't fit desert in but children had ice cream and even the presentation for the children's ice cream was pretty. Unfortunately I got no pictures but we will definitely be back and highly recommend.
